Setup and Assembly
Follow these steps to assemble your Miele Complete C3 Excellence Vacuum:
- Unpack Components: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure all listed items are present: 1 x Miele Complete C3 Excellence bagged canister vacuum cleaner, 1 x SEB 217-3 electric powerhead, 1 x SBD 285-3 universal floorhead, 1 x crevice nozzle, 1 x upholstery nozzle, and 1 x dusting brush.
- Attach Hose: Insert the hose end into the suction inlet on the main unit until it clicks securely into place.
- Connect Telescopic Wand: Attach the telescopic wand to the hose handle. Extend the wand to a comfortable height by pulling the release button and adjusting.
- Attach Floorhead: Connect the desired floorhead (SEB 217-3 electric powerhead for carpets or SBD 285-3 universal floorhead for hard floors) to the end of the telescopic wand.
- Power Connection: Extend the power cord from the rear of the unit. Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet. The vacuum features a 21-foot cord for extended reach.

Operating Instructions
The Miele Complete C3 Excellence Vacuum offers versatile cleaning with ergonomic controls. Here’s how to operate it:
- Power On/Off: Press the large circular power button on the main unit to turn the vacuum on or off.
- Adjust Suction Power: Use the foot controls marked with plus (+) and minus (-) symbols to adjust the suction power. Clear symbols indicate the optimum power level for various surfaces, including drapes, upholstery, rugs, and hard floors. The vacuum operates at 1050 watts for powerful cleaning.
- Integrated Accessories: The vacuum includes integrated accessories conveniently stored within the unit. Press the release button to access the crevice nozzle, upholstery nozzle, and dusting brush.
- Automatic Cord Rewind: To rewind the power cord, gently tap the plus/minus foot controls. The cord will automatically retract into the unit, eliminating the need to bend down.
- Comfort Park System: For quick breaks during cleaning, utilize the Comfort Park System. Insert the floorhead into the parking slot on the rear of the vacuum to keep the wand upright and stable.

Maintenance

- Dustbag Replacement: The Miele AirClean System utilizes a three-stage filtration system, including an original Miele dustbag. Replace the dustbag when the indicator on the unit signals it is full. This system captures 99.9% of all fine dust particles.
- Filter Maintenance: Regularly check and replace the motor protection filter and exhaust filter as recommended in the full user manual to maintain air quality and suction efficiency.
