5. Setup & Installation
Tools required (not included): Drill, screwdriver, pencil, level.
- Choose Location: Select a suitable wall location. Ensure there are no electrical wires or plumbing behind the drilling points.
- Mark Drilling Points: Hold the shelf against the wall at the desired height and use a pencil to mark the positions of the mounting holes. Use a level to ensure the marks are straight.
- Drill Pilot Holes: Using an appropriate drill bit for your wall type (e.g., 1/4 inch for drywall anchors), drill pilot holes at the marked locations.
- Insert Wall Anchors (if necessary): If mounting into drywall or hollow walls, gently tap the plastic wall anchors into the pilot holes until flush with the wall surface. For wood studs, anchors are typically not needed.
- Mount the Shelf: Align the shelf's mounting holes with the drilled holes (or anchors). Insert the screws through the shelf and into the wall/anchors. Tighten the screws with a screwdriver until the shelf is securely fastened to the wall. Do not overtighten.

7. Maintenance
To keep your shelf in optimal condition:
- Cleaning: Wipe the shelf with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals, as these may damage the finish.
- Inspection: Periodically check the mounting screws for tightness. Retighten if necessary to ensure the shelf remains secure.
- Rust Resistance: While the shelf is rust-resistant, prolonged exposure to excessive moisture should be avoided to maintain its finish.
8. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Shelf feels loose or wobbly. | Screws are not fully tightened or wall anchors are not secure. | Tighten all mounting screws. If anchors are loose, consider repositioning or using stronger anchors suitable for your wall type. |
| Shelf is not level. | Mounting holes were not marked level. | Remove the shelf, patch old holes, and re-mark new holes using a level before re-drilling and mounting. |
| Items slide off the shelf. | Shelf is overloaded or items are unstable. | Reduce the weight on the shelf. Ensure items are placed securely and are not top-heavy. |
