3. Setup
3.1 Powering the Clock
The DreamSky DS312 alarm clock is designed for outlet power only. It requires continuous power from the included AC adapter and USB cable to function. Insert 2 AAA batteries (not included) into the battery compartment for memory backup. These batteries will preserve time and alarm settings during a power outage, but the display will not be active, and the alarm will not sound until power is restored.

3.2 Initial Time Setting
To set the time:
- Press and hold the TIME SET button located on the back of the clock. The hour digits will begin to flash.
- Use the + or - buttons to adjust the hour. Pay attention to the PM indicator if using 12-hour format.
- Press the TIME SET button again to confirm the hour and move to minute setting. The minute digits will flash.
- Use the + or - buttons to adjust the minutes.
- Press the TIME SET button one more time to save the time and exit the setting mode.

3.3 12/24 Hour Format
To switch between 12-hour and 24-hour time formats, press the 12/24HR button on the back of the clock. In 12-hour format, a 'PM' indicator will display when the time is in the afternoon.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Display Brightness Dimmer
The clock features an adjustable brightness dimmer. Use the dimmer wheel or button (depending on model variation) to set the display brightness from bright to dim, or even turn it off completely. If the display is off, touch the SNOOZE button to temporarily light up the display for 10 seconds.

4.2 Setting the Alarm
To set the alarm:
- Press and hold the ALARM SET button on the back of the clock. The alarm hour digits will flash.
- Use the + or - buttons to adjust the alarm hour.
- Press the ALARM SET button again to confirm the alarm hour and move to alarm minute setting. The alarm minute digits will flash.
- Use the + or - buttons to adjust the alarm minutes.
- Press the ALARM SET button one more time to save the alarm time. The alarm icon will appear on the display, indicating the alarm is active.
4.3 Alarm ON/OFF and Volume Adjustment
To turn the alarm on or off, press the AL ON/OFF button. The alarm icon will appear or disappear from the display. The alarm sound can be adjusted from 30-90 DP using the volume slider on the side of the clock.

4.4 Snooze Function
When the alarm sounds, touch the large SNOOZE button on the top of the clock to activate the snooze function. The alarm will pause for 9 minutes and then sound again. To turn off the alarm completely when it is sounding, press any button on the back of the clock.
4.5 USB Charging Port
An additional USB port is located on the side of the clock. This port allows you to charge your smartphone or other compatible electronic devices. Connect your device's charging cable to this port.
