This manual provides detailed instructions for the proper installation, operation, and maintenance of your Wuloo Driveway Alarm System. Please read it thoroughly before use to ensure optimal performance and longevity of the product.

3. Setup and Installation

3.1 Initial Sensor Charging

The motion sensors are equipped with rechargeable batteries. Although they come with some charge, it is recommended to fully charge them before initial installation to ensure maximum battery life.

Locate the charging port on the sensor (usually under a protective cover).
Connect the USB charging cable to the sensor and a compatible USB power source.
Allow the sensor to charge until the charging indicator light turns off or indicates a full charge.

3.2 Receiver Power Connection

The receiver can be powered by the included AC adapter or by 3 AA batteries (not included) for backup or portable use. For continuous operation, it is recommended to use the AC adapter.

Plug the AC power adapter into the receiver's power input port.
Plug the adapter into a standard wall outlet.
If using batteries, open the battery compartment and insert 3 AA batteries, observing polarity.

3.3 Pairing Sensors with Receiver

Each sensor needs to be paired with the receiver to function correctly. The system supports up to 8 sensors.

Ensure the receiver is powered on.
Press and hold the PAIRING button on the receiver for 3 seconds until the pairing indicator flashes.
Within 10 seconds, trigger the motion sensor by waving your hand in front of it.
The receiver will chime and its LED indicator will flash, confirming successful pairing.
Repeat for all additional sensors.

3.4 Sensor Placement and Mounting

Optimal placement of the motion sensor is crucial for effective detection and to minimize false alarms.

Mount the sensor on a stable surface, such as a wall, fence post, or tree, using the provided screws.
Position the sensor to cover the desired detection area (e.g., driveway, pathway, gate).
Avoid pointing the sensor directly at moving objects like swaying branches, reflective surfaces, or areas with frequent small animal activity, unless desired.
The sensor is weatherproof and designed to work well in rain or snow.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Receiver Functions

The multi-functional receiver offers various settings for customization:

Display Screen: Shows time in standby mode and corresponding channel/chime when triggered.
MUTE Button: Press to stop ringing. Press and hold to enter mute mode.
PAIRED Button: Click to set the chime for different channels. Press and hold to enter pairing mode.
UP/DOWN Buttons: Adjust volume in standby mode, navigate options in menu mode.
MENU Button: Press and hold for 3 seconds to open/close the receiver. Click to set time and alarm clock.

4.2 Adjusting Sensor Sensitivity

The sensors feature 4 adjustable sensitivity levels to prevent false alarms from small animals or environmental factors.

Lowest Sensitivity: 0-15 feet detection range.
Middle 2 Sensitivity: 0-20 feet detection range.
Middle 1 Sensitivity: 0-26 feet detection range.
HI (Highest) Sensitivity: 0-33 feet detection range.

To adjust sensitivity, you may need to open the sensor casing and use the internal switch (refer to Section 3.1 image for location). Experiment with settings to find the ideal balance for your environment.

4.3 Expanding Your System

The Wuloo Driveway Alarm System is expandable, allowing you to connect up to 8 additional sensors to a single receiver. This enables comprehensive monitoring of larger properties or multiple entry points.

Purchase additional Wuloo compatible motion sensors.
Follow the pairing instructions in Section 3.3 for each new sensor.
Assign different chimes or channels to each sensor for easy identification of the triggered zone.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Sensor Battery Recharging

The motion sensors are equipped with 1800mAh rechargeable Lithium-Ion batteries designed to last up to 12 months on a full charge. When the battery level is low, the receiver may indicate a weak signal or the sensor may stop transmitting.

To recharge, carefully remove the sensor from its mounting location.
Access the charging port (often located under a protective cover or within the casing).
Connect the provided USB charging cable to the sensor and a USB power source.
A full charge typically takes several hours. Ensure the sensor is fully charged before re-installing.

Note: For safety, please pull out the battery when plugged into the power supply to prevent damage, as indicated in some product diagrams. However, the primary method is direct USB charging.

5.2 Cleaning

Periodically clean the sensor lens and receiver unit with a soft, dry cloth to ensure optimal performance and clear detection. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.

5.3 Environmental Considerations

While the sensors are weatherproof, extreme temperatures outside the operating range of -4°F to 140°F (-20°C to 60°C) may affect performance. Ensure the sensor lens is clear of snow, ice, or debris for accurate detection.
