Installation

The MagnaLatch MLSPS2S is designed for easy installation on square gate frames and posts. No special tools are required beyond basic measuring and drilling equipment.

Step 1: Determine Latch Position

Position the latch components on the gate and post to ensure proper alignment. The ideal gate gap is 3/8 inch (10 mm), but the latch accommodates gaps from 5/16 inch to 11/16 inch (7-17 mm). Use a level to mark the desired height for the latch.

Step 2: Mount the Striker

Secure the striker (the part with the magnetic plunger) to the gate frame using the provided fasteners. Ensure it is level and aligned with the intended position of the receiver on the post.

Operating Instructions
