Connecting the Keyboard

The Lenovo Legion K500 keyboard connects via a wired USB 2.0 interface. Ensure your PC system has an available USB 2.0 port.

  1. Unpack the keyboard and detachable palm rest from the packaging.
  2. Connect the braided USB cable from the keyboard to an available USB 2.0 port on your computer.
  3. (Optional) Attach the detachable palm rest to the front edge of the keyboard for ergonomic support.
  4. The keyboard should be automatically recognized by your operating system (Windows 10/Windows 7).

Operating Instructions

  • Mechanical Keys: Features 50 million-click Red mechanical keys for responsive and durable performance.
  • Anti-Ghosting & N-Key Rollover: 100% anti-ghosting with 104-key rollover on USB ensures every keystroke is registered accurately, even during rapid input.
  • Dedicated Multimedia Keys: Seven dedicated keys provide quick access to media controls.
  • Game Mode Key: A dedicated key allows you to disable the Windows key and other keys to prevent accidental interruptions during gameplay. This feature requires the Legion accessory software.

RGB Backlighting Customization

The keyboard features 16.8 million colors RGB per key, which can be programmed to your preference. Customization requires the use of the Legion accessory software, available for download (Internet access required).

Maintenance

Cleaning the Keyboard

  • Disconnect the keyboard from your computer before cleaning.
  • Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or a mild cleaning solution to wipe down the keys and surfaces.
  • Avoid using harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or solvents, as these may damage the keyboard's finish or components.
  • For dust and debris between keys, use compressed air.

Palm Rest Care

The detachable palm rest can be cleaned with a damp cloth. Ensure it is completely dry before reattaching it to the keyboard.

Troubleshooting

Keyboard Not Responding

  • Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the keyboard and the computer's USB port.
  • Try connecting the keyboard to a different USB port on your computer.
  • Restart your computer.
  • Verify that the operating system (Windows 10/Windows 7) is up to date.

RGB Lighting Not Working/Customizing

Keys Not Registering (Ghosting)
