3.1 Safety Precautions

3.2 General Installation Steps (Consult Professional)

  1. Prepare Vehicle: Park the vehicle on a level surface, engage the parking brake, and block the wheels. Loosen lug nuts on all wheels.
  2. Lift Vehicle: Safely lift the vehicle and support it with jack stands under the frame. Remove the wheels.
  3. Remove Old Components: Carefully remove the original shock absorbers and coil springs. This often involves disconnecting sway bar links, brake lines (if necessary), and other suspension components to allow for sufficient axle droop. Use spring compressors if required for safe removal of coil springs.
  4. Install New Springs: Install the new Terrafirma coil springs (TF018 front, TF023V rear) into their respective positions. Ensure they are seated correctly in the spring perches.
  5. Install New Shocks: Install the new Terrafirma shock absorbers (TF116 front, TF117 rear). Secure them using the provided hardware and torque to vehicle manufacturer specifications.
  6. Reassemble: Reconnect any disconnected suspension components, ensuring all bolts are tightened to specification.
  7. Lower Vehicle: Carefully lower the vehicle to the ground.
  8. Final Checks: Torque lug nuts to specification. Perform a visual inspection to ensure all components are correctly installed and clear of obstructions.
  9. Wheel Alignment: After installing a lift kit, a professional wheel alignment is mandatory to ensure proper steering, tire wear, and vehicle handling.
