Operating Instructions
Automatic Recording
The Dash Cam 66W automatically begins recording when it receives power. Footage is continuously recorded in a loop, overwriting the oldest unprotected video files. In the event of an incident, the device's G-sensor detects the event and automatically saves the footage, protecting it from being overwritten.
Voice Control
To activate voice control, say "OK, Garmin." You can then issue commands such as:
- "Take a picture" to capture a still image.
- "Save video" to save the current recording.
- "Start audio recording" or "Stop audio recording" to control audio capture.
- "Start Travelapse" or "Stop Travelapse" to begin or end a time-lapse video.

Driver Alerts
The dash cam provides various alerts to enhance driver awareness:
- Forward Collision Warning: Alerts you if you are driving too close to the vehicle ahead.
- Lane Departure Warning: Notifies you if you drift out of your lane.
- "Go" Alert: Informs you when stopped traffic ahead begins to move.
- Red Light and Speed Camera Alerts: Provides alerts for upcoming red light and speed camera locations (updates available via Garmin Drive app).
Garmin Drive App and Multi-Camera Sync
The Garmin Drive app allows you to view, edit, and share recorded videos. With multi-camera sync, you can connect up to four Garmin dash cams and view synchronized footage from multiple perspectives, which can be crucial in incident reconstruction.
