1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the SENSEA ESSENTIAL MECA Shower Column. This manual provides essential information for the safe installation, operation, and maintenance of your new shower system. Please read these instructions carefully before installation and retain them for future reference.

The Essential Meca shower column is designed for comfort and aesthetic integration into various bathroom interiors. It features a durable and elegant chrome finish. This practical and easy-to-install system includes brass fittings, an ABS hand shower with multiple spray settings, an anti-twist PVC hose, a stainless steel mounting rod, and a large ABS rain shower head. The system is compatible with all types of hot water production. Maintenance involves wiping with a soft cloth after use; for dirt, clean with mild soap, avoiding aggressive, chlorine-containing, or acidic cleaners. The hand shower head is equipped with silicone pins to reduce limescale buildup. Mechanical parts can be lubricated with silicone grease if necessary. This product has adjustable height. The mounting distance for the main fittings is 700 mm. Water inlet connection is 1/2" (15 x 21 mm). Connections and fittings are concealed within the housing after installation. A 2-year warranty is provided for this shower column.

4. Setup and Installation

This shower column is designed for wall mounting. The connections and fittings are concealed within the housing for a clean, integrated look after installation.

4.1. Required Tools (Not Included)

  • Drill
  • Drill bits suitable for your wall type
  • Measuring tape
  • Pencil
  • Level
  • Adjustable wrench
  • Sealant tape (PTFE tape)

4.2. Installation Steps

  1. Prepare the Installation Area: Turn off the main water supply. Ensure the wall surface is clean and clear.
  2. Measure and Mark: Refer to the technical drawing for precise measurements. The mounting distance for the main fittings is 700 mm. The water inlet connection is 1/2" (15 x 21 mm). Mark the drilling points on the wall.
  3. Drill Holes: Drill holes at the marked positions using an appropriate drill bit. Insert wall plugs if necessary.
  4. Install Mixer Tap: Connect the mixer tap to the hot and cold water supply lines. Use sealant tape on threaded connections to prevent leaks. Secure the mixer tap to the wall using the provided hardware.
  5. Assemble Shower Rod: Attach the stainless steel mounting rod to the mixer tap and secure it to the upper wall mounting point. Ensure the rod is vertical using a level.
  6. Attach Rain Shower Head: Connect the large ABS rain shower head to the top of the shower rod.
  7. Connect Hand Shower: Attach the anti-twist PVC shower hose to the mixer tap and the hand shower. Place the hand shower in its adjustable holder on the rod.
  8. Test for Leaks: Slowly turn on the main water supply and check all connections for leaks. Tighten any leaking connections as needed.

5. Operating Instructions

The SENSEA ESSENTIAL MECA Shower Column features a single mixer tap for temperature and flow control, along with a diverter to switch between the rain shower and hand shower.

5.1. Water Flow and Temperature Control

  • The mixer tap controls both water flow and temperature.
  • Turn the handle to adjust the water flow from off to full.
  • Rotate the handle to select the desired water temperature.

5.2. Shower Head Selection

  • A diverter knob or lever on the mixer tap allows you to switch between the rain shower head and the hand shower.
  • Rotate or pull the diverter to select your preferred shower outlet.

5.3. Hand Shower Spray Settings

  • The hand shower features multiple spray settings.
  • Rotate the spray face of the hand shower to cycle through the available spray patterns (e.g., rain, massage, mist).

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your SENSEA ESSENTIAL MECA Shower Column.

6.1. General Cleaning

  • After each use, wipe the shower column with a soft, damp cloth to prevent water spots and soap scum buildup.
  • For dirt or stubborn stains, clean with a mild soap solution and a soft cloth. Rinse thoroughly with water and dry.
  • DO NOT use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or cleaning agents containing chlorine, acids, or alcohol, as these can damage the chrome finish and plastic components.

6.2. Limescale Removal

  • The hand shower head and rain shower head are equipped with silicone pins (nozzles) designed for easy limescale removal.
  • Simply rub the silicone pins with your finger or a soft cloth to dislodge any limescale buildup.
  • For more severe limescale, use a mild descaling solution specifically designed for bathroom fixtures, following the product's instructions. Avoid prolonged contact with the solution.

6.3. Mechanical Parts

  • If mechanical parts (e.g., diverter, mixer cartridge) become stiff over time, they can be lubricated with silicone grease. Consult a professional if you are unsure how to do this.
