1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the QSFPTEK 10GBASE-T SFP+ RJ45 Copper Transceiver Module. This module is designed for high-speed network connections, offering 10 Gigabit Ethernet over copper cabling. 3. Setup and Installation

1. Insert the Transceiver Module: Carefully insert the QSFPTEK 10GBASE-T SFP+ transceiver into an available SFP+ port on your compatible network switch or device. Ensure it is fully seated until you hear a "ding" sound, indicating successful installation.

2. Connect Network Cable: Use a Cat6a, Cat7, or Cat8 network cable to connect the RJ45 interface of the transceiver module to your network device. The RJ45 interface supports both shielded and unshielded twisted pair cables.

3. Verify Connection: Once the network cable is connected, observe the link/activity indicator lights on the transceiver module or the switch port. Flashing lights indicate that the module is working properly and a connection has been established.

4. Operation

The QSFPTEK 10GBASE-T SFP+ RJ45 Copper Transceiver Module operates as a plug-and-play device. Once correctly installed and connected, it will automatically negotiate with compatible network devices to establish a 10 Gigabit Ethernet link. Ensure that connected devices and cabling (Cat6a/Cat7/Cat8) support 10GBASE-T for optimal performance.

5. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Keep the transceiver module and its RJ45 port free from dust and debris. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning. Avoid using liquid cleaners directly on the module.
• Temperature: Operate the module within its specified temperature range (0℃ ~ 70℃). Ensure adequate ventilation around the network equipment to prevent overheating.
• Handling: Handle the module carefully to avoid physical damage. Do not force insertion or removal.

6. Troubleshooting

• No Link Light:
  • Ensure the module is fully inserted into the SFP+ port.
  • Verify the network cable (Cat6a/Cat7/Cat8) is securely connected at both ends.
  • Check if the connected network device is powered on and configured for 10GbE.
  • Test with a different network cable or SFP+ port if available.
• Module Stuck / Difficult to Remove:

  To remove the module, pull the module ring flat to make it 90 degrees at right angles to the module port, then pull out the transceiver. If the module pull ring is not pulled flat (the angle with the module port is less than 90 degrees), the module will not be able to be pulled out.

• High Temperature:

  The internal controller (AQR113c) may generate heat, but this does not affect module function. Ensure proper airflow around the module and switch. If temperatures are consistently high, consider moving the equipment to a cooler area or using additional cooling fans.
