5. Setup and Installation

This wiring harness simplifies aftermarket stereo installation by connecting to your vehicle's factory wiring without modification. Follow these steps for a successful setup:

General Wiring Principles:

The harness features pre-stripped wires with standardized color codes. Match the wires from the RED WOLF harness to the corresponding wires on your new aftermarket stereo's harness. Common connections include:

  • Yellow: 12V Constant Power
  • Red: 12V Accessory Power
  • Black: Ground
  • Orange/White: Dash Light/Illumination
  • Blue: Power Antenna/Amplifier Turn-On (connect to 12V power if using an amplified antenna adapter)
  • Speaker Wires (e.g., White, Gray, Green, Purple with solid and striped variants): Connect to corresponding speaker outputs.

For best results, solder connections and use heat shrink tubing for durability and proper insulation.
