4. Setup
4.1 Battery Installation
To install the 1300mAh Li-ion battery:
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the radio.
- Slide the cover down or use a fingernail to gently pry it open.
- Align the battery contacts with the terminals inside the compartment.
- Insert the battery and ensure it is seated securely.
- Replace the battery compartment cover, sliding it up until it locks into place.

4.2 Charging the Radio
The RT19 walkie talkies can be charged using the provided Micro-USB cable and charger adapter. The Y-type USB cable allows two radios to be charged simultaneously.
- Connect the charger adapter to a power outlet.
- Plug the Micro-USB cable into the charging port on the side of the radio.
