A grounding type plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The wide blade or the third prong are provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the obsolete outlet.
- Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched, particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus.

Setup
1. Sound Bar Placement
The sound bar can be placed on a tabletop directly below your television or wall-mounted. Ensure it is centered with your TV for the best audio experience.
2. Subwoofer Placement
The wireless subwoofer can be placed anywhere in the room, ideally within 30 feet of the sound bar. For optimal bass performance, consider placing it in a corner or near a wall.
3. Connections
Connect the sound bar to your television using either the HDMI ARC port or an Optical Digital Audio cable.
- HDMI ARC (Recommended): Connect one end of the HDMI cable to the HDMI ARC port on the sound bar and the other end to the HDMI ARC port on your TV. This allows your TV remote to control the sound bar's volume.
- Optical Digital Audio: Connect one end of the optical cable to the OPTICAL IN port on the sound bar and the other end to the Optical Digital Audio OUT port on your TV.
4. Power Connection
Connect the power cords to the sound bar and the wireless subwoofer, then plug them into a wall outlet. The subwoofer and sound bar should automatically pair. If not, refer to the Troubleshooting section.
Operating Instructions
1. Remote Control Functions
The included remote control provides full command over your sound bar system.
- Power Button: Turns the sound bar on or off.

- VOL+ / VOL-: Adjusts the master volume.

2. Basic Operation

- Input Selection: Press the Input Select button to switch between HDMI, Optical, and Bluetooth sources.
3. Bluetooth Pairing
- Press the Bluetooth button on the remote control. The LED indicator on the sound bar will flash.
- On your mobile device, enable Bluetooth and search for "Klipsch Bar 40".
- Select "Klipsch Bar 40" to pair. Once connected, the LED indicator will glow solid.
4. Sound Modes
