3. Initial Setup and Time Setting

3.1 Setting the Current Time
- Press the TIME button once. The display will show the current time setting.
- Press the HOUR button repeatedly to advance the hour. Note the AM/PM indicator.
- Press the MIN button repeatedly to advance the minute.
- Once the correct time is set, press the TIME button again to confirm and exit time setting mode.
Note: The internal battery backup will maintain the time settings for a period during power outages.
4. Operating Instructions
The STANLEY 31250 timer allows you to set one ON program and one OFF program that repeats daily.

4.1 Setting ON/OFF Programs
- Press the ON button once to enter the ON program setting mode. The display will show "ON" and the current ON time.
- Use the HOUR and MIN buttons to set the desired time for the device to turn ON.
- Press the ON button again to confirm the ON time.
- Next, press the OFF button once to enter the OFF program setting mode. The display will show "OFF" and the current OFF time.
- Use the HOUR and MIN buttons to set the desired time for the device to turn OFF.
- Press the OFF button again to confirm the OFF time and exit program setting mode.
The timer will now automatically cycle the connected device ON and OFF at the programmed times daily.
4.2 Manual Override
To manually turn the connected device ON or OFF outside of the programmed schedule:
- Press the ON button to manually turn the device ON.
- Press the OFF button to manually turn the device OFF.
The manual override will remain active until the next programmed ON or OFF event, at which point the timer will resume its schedule.
5. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Disconnect the timer from the power outlet before cleaning. Wipe the exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
- Battery: The internal battery backup is designed for long-term use and typically does not require user replacement. If settings are frequently lost during brief power outages, the internal battery may need servicing by a qualified technician.
6. Troubleshooting
