Model: EPS 50

1. Introduction

This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation of your Everest ABS EPS 50 Voltage Stabilizer. This device is designed to protect single door refrigerators up to 310 liters from voltage fluctuations, ensuring stable power supply within a working range of 130 V to 290 V.

Please read these instructions carefully before installation and use, and retain this manual for future reference.

2. Safety Instructions

  • Ensure the stabilizer is placed on a stable, flat surface. It is designed as a table-top model.
  • Do not expose the stabilizer to water, moisture, or extreme temperatures.
  • Do not open the stabilizer casing. Refer all servicing to qualified personnel.
  • Ensure the electrical outlet used for the stabilizer is properly grounded.
  • Do not overload the stabilizer beyond its specified capacity of 2 Amperes.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Disconnect power before cleaning or if the unit is not in use for an extended period.

3. Product Overview

3.1 Key Features

  • Input/Output Socket: Located on the front, this is where you connect your refrigerator's power cord.
  • "LINE ON" Indicator: Illuminates when the stabilizer is receiving power from the mains.
  • "OUT PUT" Indicator: Illuminates when the stabilizer is providing stable power to the connected appliance.

4. Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the stabilizer from its packaging. Inspect for any visible damage.
  2. Placement: Place the stabilizer on a flat, stable surface near your single door refrigerator. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the unit.
  3. Connect to Mains: Plug the power cord of the Everest ABS EPS 50 Stabilizer into a suitable wall socket. The "LINE ON" indicator should illuminate.
  4. Connect Refrigerator: Plug your single door refrigerator's power cord into the output socket on the front of the stabilizer (refer to Figure 1).
  5. Initial Delay: Upon connecting the refrigerator, the stabilizer will initiate a 2-minute time delay. During this period, the "OUT PUT" indicator may not be lit. This delay protects the refrigerator's compressor.
  6. Power On: After the 2-minute delay, the "OUT PUT" indicator will illuminate, and your refrigerator will receive stable power.

5. Operating Instructions

The Everest ABS EPS 50 Voltage Stabilizer operates automatically to protect your refrigerator.

  • Normal Operation: When the input voltage is within the safe operating range (130 V - 290 V), both "LINE ON" and "OUT PUT" indicators will be lit, and the stabilizer will provide regulated power to your refrigerator.
  • Voltage Fluctuations: If the input voltage goes below 130 V or above 290 V, the stabilizer's high/low voltage cut-off mechanism will activate. The "OUT PUT" indicator will turn off, and power to the refrigerator will be disconnected to prevent damage.
  • Recovery: Once the input voltage returns to the safe operating range, the stabilizer will automatically re-engage after the 2-minute time delay, and the "OUT PUT" indicator will light up again.
  • Thermal Overload: In case of an internal thermal overload, the stabilizer will shut down to protect itself and the connected appliance. Disconnect power and allow the unit to cool down before reconnecting.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the stabilizer. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
  • Ventilation: Ensure that the ventilation openings on the stabilizer are not blocked to prevent overheating.
  • Storage: If storing the stabilizer for an extended period, disconnect it from power and store it in a cool, dry place.

7. Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
"LINE ON" indicator is off.No power from mains or stabilizer power cord is loose.Check the wall socket and ensure the stabilizer's power cord is securely plugged in. Check your home's main power supply.
"OUT PUT" indicator is off, but "LINE ON" is lit.Input voltage is outside the safe operating range (below 130V or above 290V) or time delay is active.Wait for the voltage to stabilize. The unit will automatically resume operation after the 2-minute delay once voltage returns to normal.
Refrigerator is not working after "OUT PUT" indicator lights up.Refrigerator's power cord is loose or refrigerator has an internal issue.Ensure the refrigerator's power cord is securely plugged into the stabilizer. Test the refrigerator by plugging it directly into a wall socket (if safe to do so). If the issue persists, contact refrigerator service.
Stabilizer feels hot.Poor ventilation or thermal overload protection activated.Ensure adequate airflow around the stabilizer. Disconnect from power, allow to cool, then reconnect. If problem persists, contact support.
