4.1 Power and Temperature Selection

  1. Off Position (O): Rotate the dial to the 'O' position to turn off the electric heating function.
  2. Power Level Selection:
    • 500: Select this position for 500 Watts of electric heating power.
    • 1000: Select this position for 1000 Watts of electric heating power.
    • 2000: Select this position for 2000 Watts of electric heating power.

Note: The available power levels depend on the campsite's fuse protection. Choose a power level appropriate for your electrical supply to avoid overloading. The control panel indicates "230 V~" for its operating voltage.

  3. Temperature Setting (1-7): Once a power level (500, 1000, or 2000) is selected, you can further adjust the desired room temperature using the inner dial marked with numbers 1 through 7.
    • 1: Lowest temperature setting.
    • 7: Highest temperature setting.

The heater will operate to maintain the selected temperature based on the chosen power level.

5. Maintenance

The Truma Ultraheat Control Panel requires minimal maintenance. Follow these guidelines to ensure its longevity:

  • Cleaning: Wipe the surface of the control panel with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the finish or internal components.
  • Inspection: Periodically check the control panel for any signs of damage, loose connections, or unusual operation. If any issues are observed, contact a qualified technician.
  • No User Serviceable Parts: The control panel contains no user-serviceable parts. Do not attempt to open or repair the unit yourself.

6. Troubleshooting

If you experience issues with your Truma Ultraheat Control Panel, consider the following basic troubleshooting steps:

  • No Power:
    • Check the main power supply to your vehicle/system.
    • Verify that the circuit breaker for the Truma Ultraheat heater is not tripped.
    • Ensure all electrical connections to the control panel and heater are secure.
  • Heater Not Responding:
    • Confirm the control panel dial is set to a power level (500, 1000, or 2000) and a temperature setting (1-7), not 'O'.
    • Ensure the Truma Ultraheat heater itself is functioning correctly. Refer to the heater's manual for specific troubleshooting.
  • Inconsistent Heating:
    • Check the selected power level; a lower power level will heat more slowly.
    • Ensure the ambient temperature sensor (if external to the control panel) is not obstructed or exposed to drafts.

If the problem persists after performing these checks, it is recommended to contact a qualified Truma service technician for diagnosis and repair.
