Figure 3: Step-by-step guide for threading the Magic Stitch.

  • Ensure the thread flows from the top of the bobbin or spool. The spring must be in place before installing the bobbin.
  • Pass the thread through the eyelet on the needle arm (Diagram 1).
  • Pass the thread over the top of the tension control. Do not wrap completely around the tension control (Diagram 2).
  • Use the included needle threader to pass the thread through the needle eye from back to front (Diagram 3).

Note: Each Magic Stitch machine comes with a sewn test cloth from the factory to ensure proper unit operation.

Operating Instructions

General Sewing

  • Lift the fastening plate.
  • Place the fabric under the needle, ensuring it is flat and aligned.
  • Lower the fastening plate to secure the fabric.
  • Press the power switch to begin sewing. Guide the fabric gently as the machine stitches.
  • To stop, release the power switch. Lift the fastening plate and carefully remove the fabric.
  • Trim any excess thread.

Adjusting Thread Tension

Correct thread tension ensures a smooth, even stitch. Adjust as needed:

  • If stitching is too tight, turn the tension control slightly to the left.
  • If stitching is too loose, turn the tension control slightly to the right.
