4. Setup Guide

Follow these general steps for assembling your PC within the Rosewill Spectra D100 case. Always refer to your component manuals for specific installation instructions.

1. Prepare the Case: Carefully remove the tempered glass side panel by unscrewing the four thumb screws. Lay the case on its side on a stable, flat surface.
2. Install Motherboard: Install the I/O shield into the rear opening of the case. Secure the necessary motherboard standoffs (if not pre-installed) according to your motherboard's form factor (ATX, Micro ATX, Mini ITX). Carefully place your motherboard into the case, aligning it with the standoffs, and secure it with screws.
3. Install CPU and CPU Cooler: Install your CPU onto the motherboard socket. If using an air cooler, install it now. If using an AIO liquid cooler, mount the radiator to the front (up to 360mm) or top (up to 240mm) of the case, ensuring fan orientation promotes good airflow.
4. Install Graphics Card (VGA): Insert your graphics card into the appropriate PCIe slot on your motherboard. Secure it with the retention clip and screw. The case supports vertical GPU mounting with an optional bracket (not included).
5. Install Storage Drives: Install your SSDs and HDDs into the designated drive bays. The case provides multiple mounting options for 2.5-inch SSDs and 3.5-inch HDDs.
6. Install Power Supply (PSU): Slide your power supply unit into the PSU shroud at the bottom rear of the case. Secure it with screws from the rear.
7. Connect Cables: Connect all necessary power cables from the PSU to your motherboard, graphics card, storage drives, and fans. Connect the front panel I/O cables (USB, audio, power, reset, LED) to the corresponding headers on your motherboard. Ensure proper cable management using the provided routing options behind the motherboard tray.
8. Final Assembly: Once all components are installed and cables are managed, reattach the tempered glass side panel and secure it with the thumb screws.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 RGB LED Fan Control

The Rosewill Spectra D100 comes with four pre-installed dual ring RGB 120mm LED fans. These fans offer adjustable lighting modes directly from the top I/O panel.

• Changing LED Modes: Locate the dedicated LED button on the top I/O panel (refer to Figure 2.3). Press this button to cycle through the available lighting modes.
• Available Modes: The fans support 7 static colors, 2 backlight effects, and 1 rainbow RGB mode.

Regular maintenance helps ensure optimal performance and longevity of your PC components.

• Dust Filter Cleaning: The case includes dust filters (e.g., on top and below the power supply). Periodically remove and clean these filters to prevent dust buildup inside the case, which can impede airflow and component cooling. Use compressed air or a soft brush.
• Case Cleaning: Wipe down the exterior of the case with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish or tempered glass.
• Internal Dust Removal: With the system powered off and unplugged, use compressed air to carefully remove dust from internal components such as CPU cooler fins, GPU heatsinks, and fan blades. Hold fan blades gently to prevent them from spinning excessively during cleaning.

7. Troubleshooting

This section addresses common issues you might encounter.

• No Power:
  • Ensure the power supply is switched on and properly connected to the wall outlet.
  • Verify that the 24-pin ATX power connector and the CPU power connector are securely seated on the motherboard.
  • Check the front panel power switch cable connection to the motherboard.
• Fans Not Spinning / RGB Not Working:
  • Ensure all fan power cables are correctly connected to the motherboard fan headers or a fan controller.
  • Verify that the RGB cables are properly connected to the fan controller or motherboard RGB headers.
  • If using the case's integrated LED button, ensure the corresponding cable is connected to the motherboard.
• No Display Output:
  • Ensure your monitor is connected to the graphics card (not the motherboard's integrated graphics ports, unless you are not using a dedicated GPU).
  • Reseat the graphics card in its PCIe slot.
  • Check that the graphics card has all necessary power cables connected from the PSU.
