Assembly typically requires two people and approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. No specialized tools are required beyond a ladder, screwdriver, hammer, and tape measure. A drill may be used for tightening screws, but hand assembly is generally sufficient.
4.1. Frame Assembly
- Lay out all frame components on a flat, clear surface.
- Connect the galvanized steel poles using the provided metal corner joints and base plates. Most pieces snap together easily.
- Secure any sections requiring screws as indicated in the detailed assembly diagrams.
4.2. Canopy and Sidewall Installation

- Attach the top cover to the frame using the heavy-duty bungee cords. Thread the bungee through the grommets on the tarp and around the frame poles.
- Install the sidewalls, front door, and back door. These attach to the frame using bungee cords and Velcro straps.
- Secure the entire carport to the ground using the provided ground stakes and tie-down ropes. For added stability, fill the four sandbags and attach them to the corner posts.

6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Clean the polyethylene cover with mild soap and water. Avoid harsh chemicals that may damage the material.
- Snow Accumulation: This carport is not rated for heavy snow loads. In areas with significant snowfall, it is recommended to regularly clear snow from the roof or disassemble the carport for the winter season to prevent structural damage.
- Anchoring: Periodically check all anchors, stakes, and tie-down ropes to ensure they are secure, especially after strong winds or heavy rain.
- Frame Inspection: Inspect the steel frame for any signs of rust or damage. Address any issues promptly to maintain structural integrity.
7. Troubleshooting
- Instability in Wind: Ensure all ground stakes are fully inserted and ropes are taut. Consider using additional anchoring methods in high-wind areas. Sandbags should be filled and properly attached to the corner posts.
- Water Leakage: While the cover is water-resistant, ensure the tarp is pulled taut and evenly distributed over the frame to prevent water pooling. Check for any tears or damage in the fabric that may require repair.
- Difficulty in Assembly: Verify that all poles and connectors are correctly oriented according to the instructions. Ensure two people are assisting with the assembly, especially when lifting the frame and draping the cover.
