4. Setup

4.1 Unpacking and Assembly

  1. Carefully remove all packaging materials.

  3. Attach any components that may have been removed for shipping, such as mirrors or the rear storage box, following the included assembly guide.

4.2 Initial Battery Charge

Before first use, fully charge the scooter's battery. This typically takes several hours. Refer to the charger's indicator lights for charging status.

  • Locate the charging port, usually found near the footrest area.
  • Connect the charger to the scooter's charging port, then plug the charger into a standard wall outlet.
  • Do not interrupt the charging cycle until the battery is fully charged.
  • Always use the charger provided by VELECO.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Starting the Scooter

  1. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the 'ON' position.
  2. Check the battery indicator on the dashboard to ensure sufficient charge.
  3. Ensure the kickstand (if present) is up and the parking brake is disengaged.

5.2 Driving

  • Acceleration: Gently twist the throttle handle to accelerate. The scooter has a maximum speed of 8 miles per hour (12.9 km/h).
  • Braking: Apply the brake levers smoothly to slow down or stop. The scooter is equipped with drum and disc brakes.
  • Steering: Use the handlebars to steer. The turning radius is 70 cm.
  • Lights: Use the switch on the handlebar to turn on the LED headlight and taillights.
  • Turn Signals: Activate the turn signal switch when changing direction.
  • Horn: Use the horn to alert others when necessary.

5.3 Parking

  1. Bring the scooter to a complete stop.
  2. Engage the parking brake.
  3. Turn the key to the 'OFF' position and remove it.
  4. For extended parking, consider using a scooter cover to protect it from elements.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Battery Care

  • Charge the battery regularly, even if the scooter is not in frequent use, to maintain battery health.
  • Avoid completely draining the battery before recharging.
  • Store the scooter and battery in a cool, dry place.

6.2 Cleaning

  • Clean the scooter with a damp cloth and mild detergent.
