Performance Notes
- The duration of illumination (typically 8 to 10 hours) depends on geographical location, weather conditions, and seasonal sunlight availability.
- Extreme cold weather can significantly impact battery capacity and light duration.
Maintenance
Cleaning
- Regularly wipe the top solar panels with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust, dirt, and debris. This ensures efficient solar charging.
- Clean the glass panels as needed to maintain light output.
- Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, which can damage the finish or solar panels.
Battery Replacement
- The rechargeable Ni-MH AA 1.2V 2300mAh batteries have a lifespan of approximately 2 years.
- If the light duration significantly decreases or the brightness becomes dim, it may be time to replace the batteries.
- To replace, carefully open the lamp head compartment, remove the old batteries, and insert new rechargeable Ni-MH AA 1.2V 2300mAh batteries, observing correct polarity.
- Dispose of old batteries according to local regulations.
Weather Resistance
The lamp post light has an IP65 waterproof rating, providing resistance against dust and water jets. This ensures durability and minimal maintenance in various weather conditions.
