1. Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the SKMEI 1251 Men's Sports Digital Watch. This watch is designed for durability and functionality, featuring a dual time display, alarm, chronograph, countdown timer, and 50-meter water resistance. Please read this manual carefully to understand its operation and ensure proper use and longevity.

2. Setup

Your SKMEI 1251 watch comes with a pre-installed CR2 battery. Before first use, you may need to adjust the time and date.

2.1 Button Functions

  • A (Light): Activates the EL backlight.
  • B (Mode): Cycles through different modes (Time, Chronograph, Alarm, Dual Time, Countdown).
  • C (Start/Stop): Used to start/stop functions in Chronograph and Countdown modes, and to adjust values in setting modes.
  • D (Reset): Used to reset values in Chronograph and Countdown modes, and to select items in setting modes.

2.2 Setting Time and Date

  1. From the Timekeeping Mode, press button B (Mode) three times to enter Time Setting Mode. The seconds will flash.
  2. Press button D (Reset) to cycle through the setting items: Seconds → Hour → Minute → Month → Date → Day of Week.
  3. Use button C (Start/Stop) to adjust the flashing value. Hold C to change values faster.
  4. To switch between 12-hour and 24-hour format, press button C while the hour setting is flashing.
  5. Once all settings are correct, press button B (Mode) to exit Time Setting Mode.

2.3 Setting the Alarm

  1. From the Timekeeping Mode, press button B (Mode) twice to enter Alarm Mode. The hour digits will flash.
  2. Press button D (Reset) to select between Hour and Minute settings.
  3. Use button C (Start/Stop) to adjust the flashing value.
  4. Press button B (Mode) to exit Alarm Setting Mode.
  5. To turn the alarm ON/OFF, press button C (Start/Stop) while in Alarm Mode (not setting). The alarm icon will appear/disappear.
  6. To turn the hourly chime ON/OFF, press button D (Reset) while in Alarm Mode (not setting). The chime icon will appear/disappear.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Mode Navigation

Press button B (Mode) to cycle through the watch's functions in the following order: Timekeeping Mode → Chronograph Mode → Alarm Mode → Dual Time Mode → Countdown Mode → Timekeeping Mode.

3.2 EL Backlight

Press button A (Light) to illuminate the display for a few seconds. This feature is useful in low-light conditions. Frequent use of the backlight will shorten battery life.

3.3 Chronograph (Stopwatch)

  1. From Timekeeping Mode, press B (Mode) once to enter Chronograph Mode.
  2. Press C (Start/Stop) to start the stopwatch.
  3. Press C (Start/Stop) again to stop the stopwatch.
  4. Press D (Reset) to reset the stopwatch to zero.
  5. To record split times, press D (Reset) while the stopwatch is running. The split time will be displayed. Press D (Reset) again to return to the running stopwatch.
  6. Press B (Mode) to exit Chronograph Mode.

3.4 Dual Time

The Dual Time mode allows you to keep track of a second time zone.

  1. From Timekeeping Mode, press B (Mode) three times to enter Dual Time Mode.
  2. Hold button C (Start/Stop) until the hour digits flash.
  3. Press D (Reset) to select between Hour and Minute settings.
  4. Use button C (Start/Stop) to adjust the flashing value.
  5. Press B (Mode) to exit Dual Time Setting Mode.

3.5 Countdown Timer

The countdown timer can be set for a specific duration. An alarm will sound when the countdown reaches zero.

  1. From Timekeeping Mode, press B (Mode) four times to enter Countdown Mode.
  2. Hold button C (Start/Stop) until the hour digits flash to enter setting mode.
  3. Press D (Reset) to select between Hour, Minute, and Second settings.
  4. Use button C (Start/Stop) to adjust the flashing value.
  5. Press B (Mode) to exit Countdown Setting Mode.
  6. Press C (Start/Stop) to start or pause the countdown.
  7. Press D (Reset) to reset the countdown to its initial set time.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning

Wipe the watch regularly with a soft, dry cloth to remove dirt and moisture. For stubborn dirt, use a slightly damp cloth and then dry thoroughly. Avoid using chemical cleaners, as they can damage the watch's materials.

4.2 Water Resistance (50 Meters / 5 ATM)

The SKMEI 1251 watch is rated for 50 meters (5 ATM) water resistance. This means it is suitable for daily use, splashes, rain, and short periods of recreational swimming.

  • Do NOT press any buttons while the watch is submerged in water.
  • Do NOT use the watch in hot water, saunas, or steam rooms, as this can compromise the water seals.
  • After exposure to saltwater, rinse the watch with fresh water and dry it thoroughly.

4.3 Battery Replacement

The watch uses one CR2 battery. When the display becomes dim or functions become erratic, it may be time to replace the battery. Battery replacement should ideally be performed by a qualified watch technician to ensure the water resistance seal is properly maintained.

5. Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Display is blank or dim. Low battery. Replace the battery.
Time is incorrect. Time not set correctly or accidental button press. Refer to "Setting Time and Date" section to reset the time.
Buttons are unresponsive. Watch may be in a locked mode (unlikely for this model) or internal malfunction. Try a soft reset by removing and reinserting the battery (if comfortable). If issue persists, contact support.
Water inside the watch. Water resistance compromised (e.g., buttons pressed underwater, exposure to hot water). Immediately take the watch to a professional for inspection and repair to prevent further damage.
