5. Maintenance and Care
5.1 Water Resistance
Your Armitron Sport watch is water resistant to 165 feet (50M). This means it is suitable for short periods of recreational swimming, but not for diving or snorkeling. Avoid pressing buttons while the watch is submerged in water to prevent water ingress.

Figure 5.1: Water Resistance Chart. This chart illustrates different levels of water resistance for watches. For 50M (165FT) water resistance, the watch is suitable for swimming but not for diving or snorkeling.
5.2 Cleaning Your Watch
To clean your watch, wipe it with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as these can damage the case or strap. For the silicone strap, mild soap and water can be used.
5.3 Battery Replacement
The watch requires 1 Lithium Metal battery (included). When the display dims or functions become erratic, it may be time to replace the battery. Battery replacement should ideally be performed by a qualified watch technician to ensure water resistance is maintained.
6. Troubleshooting
- Difficulty Setting Time/Date: Ensure you are in the correct setting mode. If the watch does not advance to the next setting (e.g., date after time), try making a minor adjustment to the current setting before pressing MODE again. Refer to Section 3.1.
- Display is Dim or Blank: This typically indicates a low battery. Replace the battery as described in Section 5.3.
- Buttons Not Responding: Check if the watch is in a specific mode (e.g., chronograph running) that might temporarily disable other button functions. If the issue persists, a battery replacement might be necessary, or contact support.
- Water Inside Watch: If water appears inside the watch, immediately stop using it and take it to a qualified technician. Water damage is not typically covered under warranty if proper water resistance guidelines were not followed.
