Important Safety Instructions

Installation and Setup
The Teka TR 6415 vitroceramic hob is designed for built-in installation. Ensure that the installation is carried out by a qualified technician in accordance with local regulations and standards.
Required Cut-out Dimensions
For proper installation, the countertop requires a specific cut-out.

Electrical Connection
The appliance operates on 230 Volts and has a maximum wattage of 6300 watts. The electrical connection must be performed by a qualified electrician, ensuring compliance with all relevant electrical safety standards.

Turning On/Off
To turn on the hob, touch the main power symbol on the control panel. To turn off, touch and hold the main power symbol until the display turns off.
Adjusting Heat Levels
Each cooking zone has independent controls. Select the desired cooking zone by touching its corresponding control. Then, adjust the heat level using the '+' and '-' symbols. There are 9 electric power levels available.
Using the Cooking Time Programmer
The hob features an independent programmer for each cooking zone. To set a cooking time, select the zone, then activate the timer function and adjust the duration using the '+' and '-' controls. The zone will automatically switch off once the set time has elapsed.
Security Blocking (Child Lock)
To activate the security blocking feature, touch and hold the lock symbol on the control panel. This prevents accidental operation, especially by children. To deactivate, touch and hold the lock symbol again until it unlocks.
Residual Heat Indicator
After a cooking zone has been used, the residual heat indicator (usually an 'H' symbol) will illuminate on the display. This indicates that the surface is still hot and caution should be exercised. The indicator will turn off once the zone has cooled down to a safe temperature.

Cleaning the Hob Surface
- Always ensure the hob is cool before cleaning.
- Use a soft cloth or sponge with a non-abrasive cleaner specifically designed for ceramic or glass hobs.
- For stubborn stains, use a hob scraper designed for ceramic surfaces, holding it at a shallow angle.
- Wipe off any spills immediately, especially sugary liquids, to prevent them from burning onto the surface.
- Avoid using abrasive pads, harsh chemicals, or steam cleaners, as these can damage the glass ceramic surface.
General Care Tips
- Do not drag pots and pans across the hob surface to prevent scratches.
- Avoid dropping heavy or sharp objects on the hob, as this can cause cracks.
- Ensure the bottom of cookware is clean and dry before placing it on the hob.
