6. Troubleshooting

If the sensor is not functioning as expected, refer to the following common issues and solutions:

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Sensor does not alarm when flame is present.
  • No power.
  • Incorrect wiring.
  • Detection area obstructed.
  • Sensitivity set too low.
  • Detection timer set too long.
  • Sensor lens dirty.
  • Check power supply.
  • Verify wiring connections.
  • Clear obstructions from detection area.
  • Adjust sensitivity to 'H' (High).
  • Shorten detection timer setting.
  • Clean sensor lens.
Sensor triggers false alarms.
  • Strong artificial light sources (e.g., arc welding, UV lamps).
  • Direct sunlight exposure.
  • Sensitivity set too high.
  • Detection timer set too short.
  • Relocate sensor or shield from interfering light sources.
  • Adjust sensitivity to 'L' (Low).
  • Lengthen detection timer setting.
No voice message or alarm sound.
  • Volume set to mute.
  • Incorrect DIP switch setting for audio output.
  • Adjust volume knob.
  • Verify DIP switch setting for desired audio output.
Tamper alarm activates unexpectedly.
  • Sensor unit not securely attached to base.
  • Ensure sensor unit is firmly snapped into the base.
