5. Operating Instructions

5.1 General Operation

  1. Ensure the polisher is properly assembled with the desired foam pad.
  2. Apply a small amount of polishing compound or wax directly to the foam pad or the vehicle surface.
  3. Plug the polisher into a suitable 120V power outlet.
  4. Place the foam pad flat against the work surface before turning the tool ON.
  5. Press the ON/OFF switch to start the polisher. For continuous operation, engage the trigger lock.
  6. Move the polisher slowly and evenly over the surface, applying light to moderate pressure. Avoid tilting the polisher, which can cause uneven results or damage.
  7. After use, turn the polisher OFF and unplug it from the power source.

5.2 Speed Control

The ZOTA RP15021 features a 6-speed control dial, allowing you to adjust the oscillation speed from 2,000 to 4,800 RPM. Select the appropriate speed based on the task and product being used.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your polisher.

6.1 Cleaning

  • Always unplug the tool before cleaning.
  • Wipe the exterior of the polisher with a clean, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Clean foam pads thoroughly after each use to prevent product buildup and ensure consistent performance. Rinse with water and mild soap, then air dry.

6.2 Carbon Brush Replacement

Carbon brushes are wear items and should be inspected periodically. Replace them when they are worn down to approximately 1/4 inch (6mm) or if the motor performance decreases significantly.

  2. Locate the carbon brush covers on the sides of the motor housing (refer to Product Overview diagram).
  3. Use a screwdriver to remove the brush covers.
  4. Carefully pull out the old carbon brushes.
