4. Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the coffee machine from its packaging. Remove all packing materials, stickers, and labels.
  2. Rinsing: Before first use, rinse all removable parts (water reservoir, pod holder, drip tray) with warm water and a mild detergent.
  3. First Use Cycle:
    • Fill the water reservoir with fresh cold water up to the MAX indication.
    • Place the 1-cup pod holder (without a coffee pod) in the machine and close the lid.
    • Place a bowl under the coffee spout to collect the water.
    • Press the 1-cup button. The machine will perform a rinsing cycle. Repeat this process once more.
  4. Your Senseo machine is now ready for use.

5. Operating Instructions

Brewing Coffee:

  1. Fill Water Reservoir: Fill the water reservoir with fresh cold water. Ensure it is filled above the minimum level.
  2. Insert Pod Holder: Open the lid and place either the 1-cup or 2-cup pod holder into the machine.
  3. Place Coffee Pod(s): Place one Senseo coffee pod in the 1-cup holder or two Senseo coffee pods in the 2-cup holder. Ensure the pod(s) are centered.
  4. Close Lid: Close the lid and ensure it is securely locked.
  5. Place Cup(s): Place one or two cups under the coffee spout.
  6. Start Brewing: Press the 1-cup button for a single cup or the 2-cup button for two cups. The machine will start brewing.
  7. Manual Stop: To stop the brewing process at any time, press the selected cup button again.
  8. Enjoy: Your Senseo coffee is ready. The machine will automatically switch off after 30 minutes of inactivity.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Daily Cleaning:

  • Drip Tray and Grid: Remove and empty the drip tray and grid after each use. Rinse them with warm water and a mild detergent.
  • Pod Holders: Remove and rinse the pod holders after each use.

  • Water Reservoir: Rinse the water reservoir daily and refill with fresh water.

Descaling:

  • Use a descaling agent specifically designed for coffee machines. Follow the instructions provided with the descaling agent.
