4. Setup

5. Operating Instructions

The Anova Precision Cooker Pro offers both manual control via its display and advanced control through the Anova app.

5.1 Manual Control

  1. Set Temperature: Use the '+' and '-' buttons on the cooker's display to adjust the target temperature.
  2. Start Heating: Press the 'Play/Pause' button to begin heating the water to the set temperature.
  3. Add Food: Once the target temperature is reached, place your vacuum-sealed food into the water bath.

5.2 App Control

The Anova app (available for iOS and Android) provides enhanced control and access to recipes.

  1. Download App: Download the Anova Culinary app from your device's app store.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and longevity of your Anova Precision Cooker Pro.

  1. Unplug: Always unplug the cooker and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Disassemble: The stainless steel skirt and pump cap can be detached for thorough cleaning. Twist the skirt counter-clockwise to remove it.
  3. Clean Components: Wash the stainless steel skirt and pump cap with warm, soapy water. Use a soft brush to remove any food residue or mineral deposits from the heating coil and pump impeller.
  4. Wipe Main Unit: Wipe the main body of the cooker with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the electronic head in water.
  5. Reassemble: Ensure all parts are dry before reassembling. Align the skirt and twist clockwise until secure.
  6. Descaling (Optional): For mineral buildup, you can run the cooker in a water bath with a mixture of water and white vinegar (equal parts) for 30 minutes at 140°F (60°C).
