1. Introduction

The FIFINE N6 is a compact 4-channel stereo headphone amplifier designed to distribute a single audio source to up to four headphones, each with independent volume control. Its robust metal construction ensures durability for various applications, from studio monitoring to live sound setups. This manual provides essential information for setting up, operating, and maintaining your N6 amplifier.

2. Product Features

3. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your FIFINE N6 Headphone Amplifier:

1. Connect Power: Plug the included 12V DC power adapter into the '12V ===' port on the amplifier and then into a power outlet. The 'ON' indicator light will illuminate.
2. Connect Audio Input: Use a 1/4" TRS stereo audio cable (not included) to connect your audio source (e.g., sound mixer, audio interface) to the 'INPUT' jack on the amplifier. Ensure your source has an adjustable volume control to prevent distortion.
3. Connect Headphones: Plug up to four headphones, each with a 1/4" TRS stereo audio cable (not included), into the '1', '2', '3', and '4' output jacks.
4. Adjust Volume: Turn the individual 'LEVEL' knobs for each channel to your desired listening volume.

4. Operating Instructions

The FIFINE N6 is designed for straightforward operation:

• Individual Volume Control: Each of the four headphone outputs has its own dedicated 'LEVEL' knob. This allows each listener to set their preferred volume without affecting the others.
• Stereo vs. Mono: To achieve stereo output, ensure you use 1/4" TRS stereo audio cables for both the input and all output connections. If a mono audio source is used, or if TS (Tip-Sleeve) mono cables are used for input or output, the resulting output will be mono.
• Optimal Sound: Adjust the input volume from your audio source to a moderate level before fine-tuning individual headphone volumes on the N6 to prevent clipping or distortion.

5. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your FIFINE N6 Headphone Amplifier, follow these maintenance guidelines:

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the unit. Avoid using liquid cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the finish or internal components.
• Storage: When not in use, store the amplifier in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• Handling: Handle the unit with care. Avoid dropping it or subjecting it to strong impacts, as this can damage the internal circuitry or external casing.
• Cable Management: Ensure all cables are connected securely and are not under undue strain. Avoid sharp bends or kinks in the cables.

• No Sound or Low Volume:
  • Ensure the power adapter is securely connected and the 'ON' indicator light is illuminated.

  • Check that your headphones are properly plugged into one of the output jacks.
  • Increase the 'LEVEL' knob for the specific headphone output you are using.
  • Confirm that the volume on your audio source is turned up.
• Distortion or Crackling Sound:
  • Reduce the volume level on your audio source. The input signal might be too strong for the amplifier.
  • Lower the individual 'LEVEL' knobs on the amplifier.

• Humming or Buzzing Noise:

• Mono Output (when expecting Stereo):
  • You must use 1/4" TRS stereo audio cables (with two rings on the tip) to connect your devices to BOTH the input and output of the headphone amplifier to get stereo output.
  • If the audio input is mono, or if you use mono cables (TS) for connecting devices to either the input or output, the output will be mono.
