Initial Setup
Follow these steps to set up your Autel MaxiAP AP200:
- Download and install the "MaxiAP200" app from Google Play Store (for Android) or Apple App Store (for iOS).
- Register and log in to your Autel account within the app.
- Plug the AP200 adapter into your vehicle's OBDII port (usually located under the dashboard).
- Turn your vehicle's ignition ON (engine can be off).
- Pair the AP200 with your mobile device via Bluetooth. For iOS, go to Settings > Bluetooth. For Android, perform pairing within the MaxiAP200 app under VCI connection. Look for "AP-CAP2KBC03575" or similar.
- Once connected, the app will prompt you to download the vehicle-specific diagnostic software. One vehicle software is free for lifetime use. Additional software can be purchased.

AP200 Failed to Connect via Bluetooth
- Ensure the AP200 device has been registered.
- On your phone, go to Settings > Bluetooth and "Forget" the device.
- Turn Bluetooth off, then on again.
- Go to the AP200 App > VCI connection and try to reconnect.
- Test connection with both iPhone and Android phones to rule out app-specific issues.
- Try using a different phone to see if it connects normally.
- Ensure the app is the latest version and try updating the firmware.
