Setup

Prepare the Surface: Choose a clean, dry, and smooth surface for installation. Ensure the surface is free of dust, grease, or moisture for optimal adhesive performance.
Measure and Cut (Optional): If the 12 ft strip is too long for your desired application, you can cut the strip at the designated copper cut marks. These marks are typically indicated by a scissor icon or copper pads. Do not cut anywhere else on the strip, as this will damage the circuit.
Connect Components:
- Connect the 12 ft. LED Strip Light to the IR Receiver/Controller. Ensure the arrows on both connectors align for proper polarity.
- Connect the AC Power Adapter to the IR Receiver/Controller.
Apply the Strip: Carefully peel off the adhesive backing from the LED strip. Starting from one end, firmly press the strip onto your prepared surface, ensuring even contact along the entire length.
Power On: Plug the AC Power Adapter into a standard US wall outlet. The LED strip should illuminate.

Operating Instructions

Remote Control Functions

The included 24-key remote control allows for full customization of your LED light strips. Point the remote directly at the IR Receiver/Controller for optimal response.

ON/OFF: Press to turn the lights on or off.
R, G, B, W: Direct buttons for Red, Green, Blue, and White light.
Color Selection Buttons: 12 additional buttons for various preset colors (e.g., Blood Orange, Lime Green, Cobalt, Orange, Teal, Magenta, Peach, Cyan, Purple, Yellow, Turquoise, Violet).
Brightness Adjustment (▲ / ▼): Increase or decrease the brightness level.
FLASH: Cycles through colors with a rapid flashing effect.
STROBE: Cycles through colors with a slower, pulsating strobe effect.
FADE: Smoothly transitions between colors.
SMOOTH: Gradually changes between colors with a softer transition.

Maintenance

Cleaning: To clean the LED strip, gently wipe it with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, but ensure the strip is unplugged and completely dry before reconnecting to power. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
Adhesive Care: If the adhesive begins to lose its stickiness over time, especially in high-traffic or outdoor areas, additional double-sided tape or mounting clips (not included) can be used to secure the strip.
Storage: If storing the LED strip for an extended period, ensure it is clean, dry, and coiled loosely to prevent damage to the LEDs or wiring. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Power Adapter: Regularly check the power adapter and cable for any signs of damage. Discontinue use if any damage is observed.

Troubleshooting

Problem	Possible Cause	Solution
Lights do not turn on.	Power adapter not plugged in. Loose connection between components. Remote control battery is dead. IR receiver blocked.	Ensure power adapter is securely plugged into a working outlet. Check all connections (strip to IR receiver, IR receiver to power adapter) are firm and arrows align. Replace the remote control battery (CR2025, not included). Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the IR receiver.
Remote control is not working.	Battery is dead or incorrectly inserted. Not pointing at the IR receiver. Distance too far from receiver.	Replace battery and ensure correct polarity. Point the remote directly at the IR receiver. Move closer to the IR receiver.
Lights flicker or change colors unexpectedly.	Loose connection. Power supply issue. Interference.	Check all connections are secure. Try plugging into a different power outlet. Ensure the IR receiver is not near strong electromagnetic fields.
Adhesive is not holding.	Surface not clean or smooth. Environmental factors (humidity, temperature).	Ensure surface is thoroughly cleaned and dry before application. Use additional double-sided tape or mounting clips for reinforcement.
