1. Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the Muse M-39 DBT DAB Bluetooth Stereo System. This versatile hi-fi compact system is designed to provide high-quality audio entertainment through various sources, including DAB/DAB+ and FM radio, CD, USB, Bluetooth, and AUX input. It also features an integrated alarm clock function.
Please read this manual carefully before operating the unit and retain it for future reference.
2. Safety Instructions
- Power Source: Ensure the power supply voltage matches the rating label on the unit. Use only the provided power cord.
- Ventilation: Do not block any ventilation openings. Allow sufficient space around the unit for proper airflow.
- Water and Moisture: Do not expose the unit to rain, moisture, dripping, or splashing. Do not place objects filled with liquids, such as vases, on the unit.
- Heat: Do not place the unit near heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
- Cleaning: Unplug the unit from the wall outlet before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol cleaners.
- Servicing: Do not attempt to service this product yourself. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel.
- Batteries: The remote control requires 2 AA batteries. Ensure correct polarity when inserting. Do not mix old and new batteries or different types of batteries.

4. Setup
4.1 Connecting the Speakers
Connect the speaker cables from the two speakers to the corresponding speaker output terminals on the rear of the main unit. Ensure correct polarity (+ to + and - to -) for optimal sound quality.
4.2 Power Connection
Plug the power cord into the AC IN socket on the rear of the main unit, then plug the other end into a standard 240V AC wall outlet.
4.3 Antenna Connection
For optimal DAB/FM radio reception, extend the telescopic antenna fully. Adjust its position for the best signal.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Basic Controls
The unit features a Matrix LCD screen and intuitive controls. Key buttons include:
- POWER/SOURCE: Turns the unit on/off and switches between input sources.
- MENU/CLOCK: Accesses the system menu and clock settings.
- EQ/INFO: Adjusts equalizer settings and displays track/station information.
- TUNING/ENTER Dial: Rotates to navigate menus or tune radio stations, press to confirm selection.
- PREV/ALBUM, NEXT/ALBUM: Skips tracks/stations or navigates albums.
- PLAY/PAUSE: Controls playback for CD/USB/Bluetooth.

5.2 Power On/Off
Press the POWER/SOURCE button to turn the unit on or off.
5.3 Source Selection
Press the POWER/SOURCE button repeatedly to cycle through available input sources: DAB, FM, CD, USB, Bluetooth, AUX.
5.4 DAB/FM Radio
- Select DAB or FM mode using the POWER/SOURCE button.
- For DAB, the unit will perform an automatic scan upon first use. For FM, use the TUNING/ENTER dial to manually tune or press and hold for auto-scan.
- To save a station, press and hold the PREV/ALBUM or NEXT/ALBUM button until the preset number flashes, then use the TUNING/ENTER dial to select a preset number and press to confirm. The unit supports 60 station presets.
5.5 CD Playback
- Select CD mode.
- Open the CD tray and insert a CD with the label side facing up. Close the tray.
- Playback will start automatically. Use PLAY/PAUSE, PREV/ALBUM, and NEXT/ALBUM buttons to control playback.
5.6 USB Playback
- Insert a USB flash drive into the USB 2.0 port.
- Select USB mode.
- The unit will automatically detect and play compatible MP3 files. Use playback controls as with CD.
5.7 Bluetooth Pairing
- Select Bluetooth mode. The unit will enter pairing mode, indicated on the display.
- On your smartphone or tablet, enable Bluetooth and search for "MUSE M-39 DBT" (or similar).
- Select the unit from the list to pair. Once connected, you can stream audio wirelessly.
5.8 AUX Input
- Connect an external audio device (e.g., MP3 player) to the 3.5mm AUX IN jack using an audio cable (not supplied).
- Select AUX mode.
- Audio from the connected device will play through the system. Control playback from the external device.
5.9 Alarm Clock Function
The unit features a dual-alarm clock with snooze function. Alarms can be set to wake you to radio, CD, USB, or buzzer.
- Press and hold the MENU/CLOCK button to enter clock/alarm settings.
- Use the TUNING/ENTER dial to navigate and adjust time and alarm settings. Press to confirm.
- Follow on-screen prompts to set alarm time, source, and volume.
5.10 Equalizer
Press the EQ/INFO button to cycle through preset equalizer modes (e.g., Flat, Classic, Pop, Rock, Jazz) to optimize sound for different music genres.
6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning
Wipe the unit with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents as they may damage the finish.
6.2 Storage
If the unit is not used for an extended period, unplug it from the power outlet and store it in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
