Setup

Handle Assembly

Collection Bag / Side Discharge Chute Attachment

Depending on your desired mowing mode, attach the collection bag or the side discharge chute. For bagging, ensure the bag is securely fastened to the rear discharge opening. For side discharge, attach the chute to the side of the mower deck.

Operating Instructions

Connecting Power

Connect a suitable outdoor extension cord to the mower's power inlet. Ensure the connection is secure and the cord is routed away from the cutting path to prevent accidental damage.

Starting the Mower

To start the mower, first press and hold the power button on the side of the handle. Then, pull the bail handle down towards the main handle. Once the motor starts, you can release the power button, keeping the bail handle engaged for continuous operation.

Adjusting Cutting Height

The cutting height can be adjusted using the single lever mechanism. There are 6 height settings, ranging from 1-1/2 inches to 4 inches. Select the appropriate height for your lawn conditions.

Mowing Techniques

For best results, mow in overlapping rows. Start close to the power outlet and work your way outwards to manage the extension cord effectively. Avoid mowing wet grass, as it can clog the mower and reduce cutting efficiency.

Maintenance

Cleaning the Mower Deck

After each use, disconnect the power cord and clean the underside of the mower deck to prevent grass buildup. Use a brush or scraper to remove clippings. Ensure the discharge chute area is clear of debris.

Blade Inspection

Regularly inspect the high-efficiency winged blade for sharpness and damage. A dull or damaged blade can lead to poor cutting performance and strain on the motor. Refer to the service manual for blade replacement instructions.

Storage

For convenient storage, fold the handle down. Store the mower in a dry, protected area away from direct sunlight and moisture to prolong its lifespan.

Troubleshooting

• Mower not starting: Ensure the power button is pressed and held, and the bail handle is fully engaged. Check the extension cord connection and power outlet.
• Mower bogs down in thick grass: Raise the cutting height. Avoid trying to cut too much grass at once. Make slower passes.
• Poor cutting quality: Inspect the blade for sharpness and damage. Clean the underside of the deck and discharge chute.
• Excessive vibration: Disconnect power and check the blade for damage or imbalance. Consult a service professional if the issue persists.
