Epson EcoTank ET-2760 Wireless Color All-in-One Printer User Manual

Model: ET-2760 White

Introduction

The Epson EcoTank ET-2760 is a wireless color all-in-one printer designed for cartridge-free printing. It features supersized, easily refillable ink tanks, aiming to reduce ink replacement costs and waste. This printer also includes a high-resolution flatbed scanner, copier functions, a 1.44" color display, and wireless connectivity for versatile use in home or office environments.

This manual provides detailed instructions for setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting your ET-2760 printer to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

What's in the Box

  • Epson EcoTank ET-2760 All-in-One Printer
  • User Manual (this document)
  • CD-ROM for product setup
  • Power Cord
  • 1 bottle of 502 Black Ink (127 mL)
  • 1 bottle each of 502 Cyan, Magenta, Yellow Ink (70 mL each)

Setup Guide

1. Unpacking and Initial Placement

Carefully remove the printer from its packaging. Ensure all protective tapes and packing materials are removed from the exterior and interior of the printer. Place the printer on a stable, flat surface with adequate space around it for ventilation and paper handling.

2. Filling the Ink Tanks

The EcoTank ET-2760 uses high-capacity ink tanks instead of cartridges. To fill the tanks:

  1. Open the ink tank unit cover on the right side of the printer.
  2. Open the cap for the color you wish to fill (Black, Yellow, Magenta, Cyan).
  3. Uncap the corresponding ink bottle. The EcoFit bottles are uniquely keyed to fit only the correct color tank, preventing misfills.
  4. Insert the ink bottle into the tank opening. The ink will begin to fill automatically. Do not squeeze the bottle.
  5. Once the tank is full, the ink will stop flowing. Remove the bottle and securely close the tank cap and the ink tank unit cover.
  6. Repeat for all colors.

Important: Part of the ink from the included bottles is used for initial setup. Yields are lower than those of replacement ink bottles. All ink colors are used for printing and printer maintenance, and all colors must be available for printing.

3. Loading Paper

Load paper into the rear paper feed slot. Adjust the paper guides to fit the width of your paper. The printer supports various paper sizes including 3.5" x 5", 4" x 6", 5" x 7", 8" x 10", 8.5" x 11", 8.5" x 14", A4, A6, half letter, legal, and executive.

Install the printer software from the included CD-ROM or download the latest drivers and utilities from the official Epson support website for your operating system (PC, Laptops).

Operating Instructions

Printing Documents

To print from your computer or smart device, ensure the printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Select the print option from your application, choose the Epson ET-2760, and adjust settings such as paper size, print quality (Maximum Color Print Resolution: 1440 x 720 dpi, Maximum Black and White Print Resolution: 1440 x 720 dpi), and number of copies. The printer supports automatic 2-sided printing (duplex).

For mobile printing, use the intuitive Epson Smart Panel App. Voice-activated printing is also available with compatible devices and an Epson Connect account.

Copying Documents

Place the document face-down on the scanner glass or use the automatic document feeder (if available on your model). Use the 1.44" color display and control panel to select the copy function. You can adjust settings like number of copies, color or black & white (Max Copy Speed (Black & White): 10.5 ppm), and paper size before initiating the copy.

Scanning Documents

Place your document on the scanner glass. From the printer's control panel or your computer, initiate the scan. You can choose to scan to a computer (PDF or JPEG), memory card (SD card slot available), or email. Ensure your computer has the necessary Epson scanning software installed for direct scanning to PC.

Maintenance

Ink Refill

Monitor ink levels through the transparent ink tanks on the front of the printer. When a tank is low, purchase genuine Epson 502 series ink bottles (502 Cyan, 502 Magenta, 502 Yellow, 502 Black). Follow the steps outlined in the "Setup Guide" for refilling ink. The unique EcoFit bottles ensure mess-free and accurate refilling.

Print Head Cleaning

If print quality declines (e.g., missing lines, faded colors), perform a print head cleaning. This can typically be done through the printer's control panel menu under "Maintenance" or via the printer utility software on your computer. If print quality does not improve after 2-3 cleanings, perform a print head nozzle check and then a print head alignment if necessary.

General Cleaning

Regularly wipe the exterior of the printer with a soft, damp cloth. Clean the scanner glass with a lint-free cloth and glass cleaner (non-abrasive). Avoid spraying cleaner directly onto the glass.

Troubleshooting

Paper Jams

If a paper jam occurs, the printer's display will show an error message. Carefully open the printer covers as indicated in the error message or the manual, and gently pull out any jammed paper. Ensure no torn pieces remain inside. Close all covers securely before resuming printing.

Note: Some users have reported occasional paper jams specifically during 2-sided printing. If this occurs frequently, try printing single-sided or ensure paper is loaded correctly and not overfilled.

Print Quality Issues

If prints are faded, streaky, or have incorrect colors:

  • Check ink levels and refill any low tanks.
  • Perform a print head cleaning (see Maintenance section).
  • Run a nozzle check pattern to identify clogged nozzles.
  • Perform a print head alignment if lines are misaligned.
  • Ensure you are using genuine Epson ink.

Connectivity Problems

If the printer is not connecting to your network or computer:

  • Verify the printer is powered on and Wi-Fi is enabled.
  • Ensure your computer/device is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network (2.4 GHz band is recommended for optimal compatibility).
  • Restart your printer, computer, and Wi-Fi router.
  • Reinstall printer drivers and software if necessary.
  • Check firewall settings on your computer that might be blocking communication.
