2. Product Components
Your eMACROS Driveway Alarm package includes the following components:
- 1 x Wireless Receiver
- 1 x Solar Wireless Motion Sensor
- 1 x User Manual

3. Setup and Installation
3.1 Sensor Installation
The outdoor motion sensor is designed for easy installation and is waterproof (IP66) with a working temperature range from -20℃ to 60℃. It can be mounted on a wall, fence, or tree using the provided hardware.
- Choose a Location: Select a location where the sensor has a clear line of sight to the area you wish to monitor. Avoid direct sunlight on the sensor lens to prevent false alarms.
- Mounting: Securely mount the sensor using screws. The sensor features 360 degrees of adjustment for optimal positioning.
- Solar Panel Orientation: Ensure the solar panel on top of the sensor is exposed to adequate sunlight for continuous charging.

3.2 Receiver Setup and Pairing
The receiver can be placed indoors. It is powered by a DC 5V AC adapter and also supports 4 AA backup batteries (not included).
- Power On: Connect the receiver to a power outlet using the DC 5V AC adapter. You may also insert 4 AA backup batteries for power redundancy.
- Pairing Sensors: The system is designed for quick setup. Refer to the included Quick Start Guide for specific pairing instructions. Generally, you will activate a pairing mode on the receiver and then trigger the sensor to link them.
- Channel Selection: The receiver offers 7 channels. You can assign different chimes to different sensors to distinguish detection locations.

4. Operating Instructions
Once set up, the eMACROS driveway alarm operates by detecting motion and alerting you via the receiver.
- Motion Detection: The sensor uses passive infrared (PIR) technology to detect motion and heat, effective day or night. The PIR sensor detection range is up to 30 feet.
- Wireless Transmission: Upon detection, the sensor transmits a signal to the receiver. The system boasts a 1/2 mile wireless range under ideal conditions, allowing for flexible placement.
- Alerts: The receiver will sound the selected chime when motion is detected. You can choose from 7 different chimes and assign them to specific sensors to identify the detection zone.
- Expandable System: The system is fully expandable. You can add up to 7 sensors to a single receiver for comprehensive coverage of your property.

5. Maintenance
The eMACROS driveway alarm system requires minimal maintenance.
- Solar Charging: The outdoor sensor is solar-powered, eliminating the need for frequent battery replacement. Ensure the solar panel remains clean and free of debris (e.g., leaves, snow) to allow for efficient charging. The sensor can charge even on cloudy or rainy days.
- Battery Check: While the sensor is solar-powered, the receiver uses a DC 5V AC adapter and can use 4 AA backup batteries. Periodically check the backup batteries in the receiver and replace them if needed to ensure continuous operation during power outages.
- Cleaning: Occasionally wipe down the sensor and receiver with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust or dirt. Do not use harsh chemicals.

6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your eMACROS driveway alarm, consider the following troubleshooting steps:
- No Alert from Receiver:
- Ensure the receiver is powered on and properly connected to its power source or has fresh backup batteries.
- Verify the sensor is properly paired with the receiver. If not, attempt to re-pair them according to the Quick Start Guide.
- Check the sensor's solar panel for obstructions and ensure it receives adequate sunlight.
- Confirm the sensor is within the wireless range of the receiver. Obstacles like thick walls or dense foliage can reduce range.
- False Alarms:
- Adjust the sensor's angle or placement to avoid detecting small animals, swaying branches, or direct sunlight.
- Ensure the sensor lens is clean.
- Short Wireless Range:
- Relocate the sensor or receiver to minimize obstructions (e.g., large metal objects, thick walls, dense trees).
- Ensure both units are positioned as high as possible for better signal transmission.
- Sensor LED Flashes but No Chime:
- This indicates the sensor is detecting motion. Re-check pairing and receiver power.
