Setup (Installation)

Follow these steps for proper installation of your widespread bathroom faucet:

  1. Prepare the Sink: Ensure the sink surface is clean and dry. Position the faucet body and handles into the pre-drilled holes on your sink or countertop.
  2. Secure the Faucet: From underneath the sink, thread the mounting nuts onto the faucet body and handle shanks. Hand-tighten, then use a basin wrench to secure them firmly. Do not overtighten.
  3. Connect Water Supply Lines: Attach the hot and cold water supply lines to the corresponding inlets on the faucet handles. The quick-connect hose simplifies this process. Ensure connections are tight to prevent leaks.
  4. Install Pop-Up Drain: Insert the pop-up drain assembly into the sink drain hole. Apply plumber's putty or silicone sealant around the flange for a watertight seal. Secure the drain body from underneath the sink with the provided nut and washer.
  5. Connect Drain to P-Trap: Connect the tailpiece of the pop-up drain to your existing P-trap assembly.
  6. Test for Leaks: Once all connections are made, turn on the main water supply and check for any leaks. Run water through the faucet for a few minutes to flush out any debris.

Operating Instructions

Your Phiestina widespread faucet features two handles for precise control over water temperature and flow.

  • Cold Water: Turn the right handle counter-clockwise to activate cold water.
  • Hot Water: Turn the left handle counter-clockwise to activate hot water.
  • Temperature Control: Adjust the handles simultaneously to achieve your desired water temperature.
  • Flow Control: The further you turn the handles, the greater the water flow.

The faucet is equipped with a German built-in aerator, designed to provide a gentle, foam-rich water stream that minimizes splashing for a comfortable user experience.

Maintenance

Proper care will ensure the longevity and appearance of your Phiestina faucet.

  • Cleaning: Clean the faucet regularly with a soft cloth and mild soap. Avoid abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, or scouring pads, as these can damage the chrome finish.
  • Water Spots: The faucet's high-precision surface treatment is designed to reduce water spots. Wipe the faucet dry after each use to maintain its shine.
  • Aerator Maintenance: If water flow decreases or becomes irregular, the aerator may be clogged. Unscrew the aerator from the spout, clean any debris, and rinse thoroughly before reattaching.
  • Drain Maintenance: The pop-up drain includes a built-in strainer to collect hair and debris. Periodically remove the stopper and clean the strainer to prevent clogs.
