Setup
1. Battery Installation
The clock and the outdoor sensor each require 2 AA batteries (not included). For optimal performance and longevity, especially in outdoor conditions, it is recommended to use Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries.
- Open the battery compartment on the wireless outdoor temperature sensor.
- Insert 2 fresh AA batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment. The sensor's LED indicator will flash once.
- Open the battery compartment on the main clock unit.
- Insert 2 fresh AA batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment. The clock will power on and begin searching for the outdoor sensor signal and the WWVB atomic time signal.
2. Outdoor Sensor Placement
Place the wireless outdoor sensor in a shaded, dry location to ensure accurate temperature readings and to protect it from direct sunlight and rain. An ideal location is under an eave or a covered porch. The sensor has a transmission range of up to 300 feet (100 meters).
