Operating Features
The My Mesh mobile app provides comprehensive control over your MeshForce Wi-Fi system, including the M3 Dot extenders. Here are some key features:
Remote Management
Manage your entire home Wi-Fi system from anywhere using the My Mesh app on your iOS or Android device. You can view connected devices, monitor network activity, and adjust settings remotely.

The My Mesh app allows you to see all connected devices and manage your network remotely.
Parental Control
Parental controls enable you to specify whether children's devices, such as computers and tablets, can access the internet. You can add multiple devices to one group and control internet access of the group by tapping a single button. You can also define one or more periods to schedule internet accessibility.
Guest Network
Create an isolated guest Wi-Fi zone for visitors. This allows guests to access the internet without gaining access to your main network, enhancing your home network's security. You can set a validity period for the guest network.
Dual-Band Support
The MeshForce M3 Dot supports dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz). This allows your devices to connect to the optimal band for speed and range. The 5 GHz band offers faster speeds over shorter distances, while the 2.4 GHz band provides a longer range with slightly lower speeds.
Quality of Service (QoS)
Prioritize network traffic for specific devices or applications. This ensures that critical activities, such as online gaming or video streaming, receive sufficient bandwidth even when the network is busy.
Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your MeshForce M3 Dot, consider the following maintenance tips:
- Firmware Updates: Regularly check the My Mesh app for available firmware updates. Keeping your device's firmware up-to-date ensures you have the latest features, security patches, and performance improvements.
- Optimal Placement: Ensure the M3 Dot is plugged into a wall outlet in an open area, away from obstructions like large furniture, metal objects, or other electronic devices that could interfere with the Wi-Fi signal.
- Cleaning: Periodically wipe the exterior of the device with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
- Avoid Overheating: Ensure the M3 Dot has adequate ventilation. Do not cover it or place it in enclosed spaces where heat can build up.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your MeshForce M3 Dot, try the following steps:
- No Connection: Ensure the M3 Dot is properly plugged into a live electrical outlet. Check the indicator light on the device; if it's not lit or is red, refer to the user guide for light status meanings.
- Weak Signal: Try repositioning the M3 Dot closer to your main MeshForce router or another M3 Dot. Ensure there are no major obstructions between the devices.
- App Issues: If the My Mesh app is not responding or showing incorrect information, try closing and reopening the app. If the problem persists, restart your mobile device.
- Reset Device: If all else fails, use a paperclip to press and hold the reset button on the M3 Dot for about 5-10 seconds until the indicator light changes. This will restore the device to factory settings, and you will need to re-add it via the My Mesh app.
- Internet Speed: If you are experiencing slow internet speeds, check your internet service provider's connection. You can also use the speed test feature within the My Mesh app to check the speed at the M3 Dot's location.
