4. Setup and Installation

3. Assemble the Base: Secure the pump unit to the plastic base using the provided screws.
4. Connect Pump to Filter Tank: Attach the pump to the filter tank using the connecting hose and clamps. Ensure all O-rings and seals are correctly seated to prevent leaks. Do not overtighten connections initially.

7. Install 7-Way Valve: Place the large O-ring on the filter tank opening. Carefully position the 7-way valve on top of the tank, aligning it with the tank opening and the standpipe. Secure it with the two black plastic clamps and long screws. Ensure no sand or impurities are trapped in the seal.
8. Install Manometer: Screw the manometer into the designated port on the 7-way valve. Ensure the small O-ring from the cap is used for a watertight seal.

• RINSE: After backwashing, this mode flushes any remaining dirty water from the filter lines to the waste port before returning to filter mode. Run for 30-60 seconds.
• CIRCULATE: Water is circulated through the pump and back to the pool without passing through the filter media. Useful for distributing chemicals quickly.
• DRAIN: Water is pumped directly from the pool to the waste port, bypassing the filter. Used for lowering pool water level or emptying the pool.
• CLOSED: All flow to the filter and pump is shut off. Use this setting only when the pump is off and for maintenance on the pump or prefilter. Never operate the pump in this position.
• WINTERIZE: A specific setting for preparing the filter system for winter storage, often involving draining the tank.

Initial Operation: After filling the tank with water, set the valve to 'BACKWASH' and run the pump for 2-3 minutes. Then, switch to 'RINSE' for 30-60 seconds. Finally, set to 'FILTER' for normal operation. Monitor the pressure gauge to establish the clean operating pressure.
