6. Maintenance

6.1 Anti-Calc System

The Solac Easy Temp EVO Pro features an integrated anti-calc system for optimal and permanent maintenance. This system helps prevent limescale buildup, ensuring consistent steam performance and extending the life of your iron. No specific user action is required for this system to function, but regular cleaning of the soleplate is still recommended.

6.2 Cleaning the Soleplate

  1. Ensure the iron is unplugged and completely cool.
  2. Wipe the soleplate with a damp cloth and a non-abrasive cleaner if necessary.
  3. Do not use metallic scouring pads or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the ceramic coating.

6.3 Emptying the Water Tank

After each use, it is recommended to empty any remaining water from the tank to prevent limescale buildup and ensure hygiene. Unplug the iron, allow it to cool, open the water inlet, and carefully drain the water.

7. Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Iron does not heat up. Not plugged in; power outlet fault; auto-pause activated. Check power connection; try a different outlet; move the iron to reactivate.
No steam or insufficient steam. Water tank empty; steam dial set to 'Min' or dry ironing; iron not hot enough; limescale buildup. Fill water tank; adjust steam dial; allow iron to heat fully; perform descaling if necessary (though integrated anti-calc reduces need).
Water dripping from soleplate. Iron not hot enough for steam; anti-drip system malfunction. Allow iron to reach full temperature before using steam; if problem persists, contact support.
Iron leaves marks on fabric. Soleplate dirty; incorrect temperature setting for fabric. Clean soleplate; select appropriate Autocontrol System mode (ECO, AUTO, TURBO).
