  1. Turn off power at the circuit breaker or fuse box.
  2. Ensure the mounting location is structurally sound and can support the fan's weight.
  3. Verify that the fan blades will be at least 7 feet (2.1 meters) from the floor and clear of any obstructions.

4.2 Installation Steps (General Guide)

  1. Mounting Bracket Installation: Securely attach the mounting bracket to the ceiling junction box or support beam using appropriate hardware.

  7. Final Check: Double-check all connections and ensure no wires are pinched.

5. Operating Instructions

The Rico CF806 Ceiling Fan is designed for simple operation.

5.1 Power On/Off

Once installed and connected to the power supply, turn on the main power switch for the fan circuit. The fan is typically operated via a wall regulator or pull chain, depending on your specific installation.

5.2 Speed Control

Adjust the fan speed using the wall-mounted regulator (if installed) or the pull chain. The fan offers multiple speed settings to suit your comfort needs. For optimal air circulation, start with a medium speed and adjust as desired.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and efficient operation of your Rico CF806 Ceiling Fan.

6.1 Cleaning

  • Before Cleaning: Always ensure the power to the fan is turned off at the circuit breaker.
  • Blades: Dust the fan blades regularly with a soft, lint-free cloth to prevent dust buildup, which can affect performance and balance.
  • Motor Housing: Wipe the motor housing with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the finish.
  • Do Not Use Water: Never immerse the fan in water or allow water to drip into the motor housing.

6.2 Periodic Checks

  • Tightness of Screws: Periodically check that all screws on the fan blades and mounting hardware are tight. Loose screws can cause wobbling and noise.
  • Blade Balance: If the fan wobbles, check that the blades are securely attached and not bent. A slight wobble is normal, but excessive wobbling may require a blade balancing kit (not included).
