4.2 Filling the Water Tank

  1. Ensure the iron is unplugged from the power outlet.
  2. Set the steam control slider to the "Dry" (no steam) position.

  2. Check garment care labels for recommended ironing temperatures.
  3. Plug the iron into a suitable power outlet. The indicator light will illuminate.
  4. Set the temperature control dial to the desired setting based on the fabric. Start with lower temperatures for delicate fabrics and gradually increase for heavier ones.

5.2 Dry Ironing

For dry ironing, ensure the steam control slider is set to the "Dry" position. Iron the fabric as usual.

5.3 Steam Ironing

Steam ironing is suitable for most fabrics except very delicate ones like silk or synthetics. Ensure the water tank is filled.

  1. Set the temperature control dial to a steam-suitable setting (usually indicated by steam symbols on the dial).
  2. Once the indicator light turns off, slide the steam control slider to the desired steam level (Eco for energy saving, Max for maximum steam).
  3. Begin ironing. The iron will continuously emit steam.

5.4 Steam Shot Function

Use the steam shot for stubborn wrinkles or vertical steaming.

  • Ensure the iron is at a high temperature setting (e.g., Linen or Cotton).
  • Press the steam shot button repeatedly for powerful bursts of steam. Allow a few seconds between shots for steam to regenerate.
  • For vertical steaming, hold the iron upright a few centimeters away from hanging garments (e.g., curtains, suits) and press the steam shot button.

The water spray function helps to dampen stubborn creases before ironing.

  • Ensure the water tank is filled.
  • Press the spray button to release a fine mist of water onto the fabric.

5.6 After Ironing

  • Set the temperature control dial to "MIN" and the steam control slider to "Dry".
  • Unplug the iron from the power outlet.
  • Allow the iron to cool down completely before storing.
  • Empty any remaining water from the tank to prevent limescale buildup and leakage.

6. Care and Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning the Soleplate

To maintain the smooth glide of the ceramic soleplate:

  • Ensure the iron is unplugged and completely cool.
  • Wipe the soleplate with a damp cloth and a non-abrasive cleaner if necessary.
  • Do not use abrasive scouring pads or harsh chemical cleaners, as these can damage the ceramic coating.

6.2 Calc-Clean Function (Self-Cleaning)

The Calc-Clean function helps remove limescale particles from the steam chamber and vents, extending the iron's life and maintaining steam performance. Perform this function regularly, especially in hard water areas.

  1. Fill the water tank to the "MAX" line.
  2. Plug in the iron and set the temperature control dial to the maximum setting. Set the steam control slider to "Dry".
  3. Once the indicator light turns off, unplug the iron.
  4. Hold the iron horizontally over a sink.
  5. Press and hold the Calc-Clean button. Hot water and steam will be expelled from the soleplate, carrying limescale and impurities.
  6. Gently shake the iron back and forth until the water tank is empty.
  7. Release the Calc-Clean button.
  8. Plug the iron back in and let it heat up again to dry the soleplate. Unplug and let it cool completely before storing.

6.3 Storage

Store the iron upright on its heel rest in a safe, dry place after it has completely cooled down and the water tank has been emptied.
