The YING RAY replacement remote control is designed to operate various York Air Conditioner models. It features a clear LCD display and intuitive buttons for controlling temperature, fan speed, operating modes, and other functions.
Setup
1. Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the remote control.
- Slide the cover downwards or press the latch to open it.
- Insert two (2) AAA 1.5V Normal Batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals match the markings inside the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
Note: Batteries are not included with the remote control. Always use new batteries and dispose of old batteries responsibly.
2. Initial Use
This remote control is pre-programmed and typically requires no additional setup or pairing with your York Air Conditioner. Once batteries are installed, it should function directly.
Operating Instructions
Point the remote control directly at the air conditioner's receiver when operating.
Button Functions:
- ON/OFF: Press to turn the air conditioner on or off.
- MODE: Cycles through operating modes: AUTO, COOL, DRY, HEAT, FAN.
- FAN SPEED: Adjusts fan speed: HIGH, MED (Medium), LOW.
- TEMP (Temperature Adjustment): Use the up/down rocker switch to increase or decrease the set temperature. The display shows temperature in Celsius (°C).
- AIR HORIZONTAL: Controls the horizontal swing of the air deflector.
- AIR VERTICAL: Controls the vertical swing of the air deflector.
- TIMER ON: Sets a timer for the air conditioner to turn on.
- TIMER OFF: Sets a timer for the air conditioner to turn off.
- VENT: Activates the ventilation function.
- TURBO: Engages maximum cooling/heating power for rapid temperature change.
- ECONOMIC: Activates energy-saving mode.
- RESET: Resets the remote control settings (may require a pointed object like a pen tip).
- LOCK: Locks the remote control buttons to prevent accidental changes.
Setting the Temperature:
Use the TEMP rocker switch to adjust the desired temperature. The current set temperature will be displayed on the LCD screen in Celsius.
Changing Operating Mode:
Press the MODE button repeatedly until the desired mode (AUTO, COOL, DRY, HEAT, FAN) is displayed on the LCD screen.
Adjusting Fan Speed:
Press the FAN SPEED button repeatedly to cycle through HIGH, MED, and LOW fan settings.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the remote control with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
- Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when the display becomes dim or the remote control stops responding. Remove batteries if the remote will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
- Storage: Store the remote control in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
