8. Troubleshooting

  • Tester does not power on: Ensure the battery clamps are securely connected to the correct battery terminals. Check if the battery has sufficient voltage (minimum 8V) to power the tester.
  • Inaccurate readings: Ensure battery terminals are clean and free of corrosion. Verify that the correct CCA value is entered for the battery test.
  • "Battery Low Voltage" message: This indicates the battery voltage is too low for an accurate test. Attempt to charge the battery before retesting.
  • Difficulty locating battery: Some vehicles, like certain Dodge Journey models, have the battery located in less accessible areas, such as the wheel well. Consult your vehicle's owner's manual for specific battery location and access procedures.

9. Maintenance

  • Clean the tester's housing with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Keep the battery clamps clean and free of corrosion to ensure good electrical contact.
  • Store the tester in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Avoid dropping the tester or subjecting it to strong impacts.
