Maintenance
Cleaning:
Wipe the watch regularly with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and dirt. For stainless steel parts, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by immediate drying. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
Water Resistance:
The Omax M283 watch is water resistant. This means it can withstand splashes, rain, and brief immersion in water. However, it is not suitable for swimming, diving, or hot water activities (e.g., showering, sauna) as steam and temperature changes can compromise the seals. Do not operate buttons while the watch is wet or submerged.
Battery Replacement:
When the display becomes dim or functions become erratic, the battery may need replacement. Battery replacement should ideally be performed by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and water resistance integrity.
Troubleshooting
- Display is blank or dim: The battery may be low or depleted. Replace the battery.
- Time is incorrect: Re-set the time following the "Setting Time and Date" instructions. Ensure you are in the correct AM/PM setting if applicable.
- Alarm does not sound: Ensure the alarm function is activated (check for the alarm icon on the display). Verify the alarm time is set correctly.
- Buttons are unresponsive: Ensure the watch is not wet. If the issue persists, a reset might be needed (consult a technician) or the battery might be very low.
