4. Operating Instructions
Follow these steps to brew coffee with your Beko BKK3008 KM Coffee Maker:
- Fill Water Reservoir: Open the lid and fill the water reservoir with fresh, cold water to the desired level, using the water level indicator as a guide. Do not exceed the maximum fill line.
- Add Coffee Grounds: Place a paper filter (if desired) into the removable filter basket, or ensure the reusable plastic filter is clean and in place. Add the desired amount of ground coffee into the filter. A general guideline is one tablespoon of coffee per cup, but adjust to your taste.
- Position Components: Close the lid. Ensure the filter basket is securely in place and the glass carafe is positioned correctly on the warm tray.
- Start Brewing: Plug the coffee maker into a suitable power outlet. Press the power button (or activate the brew switch) to start the brewing process. The indicator light will illuminate.
- Drip Stop Function: The drip stop function will temporarily halt the coffee flow if you remove the carafe during brewing. Return the carafe to the warm tray within 30 seconds to prevent overflow.
- Keep Warm: After brewing is complete, the coffee maker will automatically switch to the keep-warm function, maintaining the coffee's temperature on the warm tray.
- Auto Shut-Off: For safety and energy saving, the appliance features an auto shut-off function that will turn off the coffee maker after a period of inactivity.
- Serve: Carefully remove the carafe from the warm tray and pour your coffee.
