1. Product Overview

The Cooler Master MasterBox NR600 is an ATX mid-tower PC case designed for optimal cooling and expandability within a minimalist and subtle aesthetic. Its full mesh front panel and ventilated top panel are engineered for superior airflow performance, ensuring efficient thermal management for your components.

  • Graphics Card Support: Generous clearance space is provided to support the latest graphics cards up to 410 millimeters in length.
  • With/Without ODD Support: Depending on preference, an ODD version of the chassis is available. If an ODD is not preferred, a cleaner appearance and more cooling options on the top and front panels are supported.
  • Headset Jack: The single 4-pole headset jack features both audio and microphone capabilities simultaneously, eliminating the need for separate jacks.

4. Setup Guide

This section provides general guidance for setting up your Cooler Master MasterBox NR600 PC case. For detailed component installation, please refer to the specific manuals for your motherboard, power supply, and other hardware.

4.1 Preparing the Case

  1. Unpack the MasterBox NR600 from its packaging.
  2. Place the case on a stable, flat surface.
  3. Remove the tempered glass side panel by unscrewing the thumbscrews located at the rear of the case. Carefully set the panel aside on a soft, non-abrasive surface to prevent scratches.
  4. Remove the opposite steel side panel to access the cable management area.

4.2 Component Installation

  • Motherboard Installation: Align your ATX motherboard with the standoffs inside the case and secure it with screws.

  • Storage Drive Installation: Utilize the tool-less mounting system for 2.5" SSDs and 3.5" HDDs. The case supports up to five 2.5" SSDs and four 3.5" HDDs.

  • Power Supply Installation: Install your power supply unit (PSU) in the bottom mount area.
  • Graphics Card Installation: Install your graphics card into the appropriate PCIe slot. The case supports cards up to 410mm in length.
  • Cooling System Installation: The NR600 supports various water-cooling options.
    • Front: max 280/360mm radiator
    • Top: max 240mm radiator
    • Rear: max 120mm radiator

  • Cable Management: Utilize the strategic zip tie points and rubber grommets behind the motherboard tray to route and secure cables for a clean build and improved airflow.

5. Operating Instructions

Once all components are installed and connected, you can begin operating your PC.

5.1 Powering On

Press the power button located on the top I/O panel of the case to turn on your system.

5.2 Using I/O Ports

The top I/O panel includes:

  • 1x 4-pole Headset Jack (for simultaneous audio and microphone)
  • 2x USB 3.0 Ports
  • 2x USB 2.0 Ports
  • Power Button
  • Reset Button

Connect your peripherals such as headphones, USB drives, and other devices to these ports as needed.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance helps ensure optimal performance and longevity of your PC case.

6.1 Dust Filter Cleaning

The MasterBox NR600 features a precision-cut, magnetic dust filter on the top panel. Regularly clean this filter to prevent dust buildup and maintain optimal airflow.

  1. Gently lift the magnetic dust filter from the top panel.
  2. Clean the filter using compressed air or by rinsing it with water. If using water, ensure it is completely dry before reattaching.
  3. Place the clean, dry filter back onto the top panel.

6.2 General Cleaning

Wipe down the exterior of the case with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the finish or tempered glass.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your PC build within the MasterBox NR600, consider the following general troubleshooting steps:

  • No Power:
    • Ensure the power supply is properly connected to the wall outlet and the PSU switch is in the 'ON' position.
    • Verify all internal power cables (24-pin ATX, CPU, GPU, SATA) are securely connected.
    • Check that the front panel power button cable is correctly connected to the motherboard's front panel header.
  • Overheating:
    • Ensure all case fans and CPU/GPU coolers are functioning correctly.
    • Clean dust filters and internal components to improve airflow.
    • Verify proper thermal paste application on the CPU.
  • I/O Port Malfunction:
    • Check that the front panel I/O cables (USB, audio) are securely connected to the correct headers on your motherboard.
