  6. Connect Power: Plug the 5m electrical cable into a suitable 220-240V, 50/60 Hz grounded power outlet.
  7. Purge Air: Before turning on the motor, turn on the water supply and squeeze the trigger on the washing gun to allow water to flow through the system and purge any air. Continue until a steady stream of water emerges.

5. Operating Instructions

Once the unit is set up, follow these steps for operation.

  1. Start the Unit: Turn the main power switch on the pressure washer to the 'ON' position. The motor will start.
  2. Begin Cleaning: Aim the nozzle at the surface to be cleaned, keeping a safe distance. Squeeze the trigger on the washing gun to start the high-pressure water flow.
  3. Adjust Nozzle: The MPX16E comes with two high-pressure nozzles. Select the appropriate nozzle for your task. A wider spray is suitable for general cleaning, while a concentrated jet is for stubborn dirt.
  4. Using the Foam Bottle: Fill the shampoo bottle with appropriate pressure washer detergent. Attach it to the washing gun. The unit will mix the detergent with water to create foam for cleaning. After applying detergent, remove the foam bottle and rinse the surface with clear water.
  5. Working Technique: Work from top to bottom on vertical surfaces. For delicate surfaces, test a small, inconspicuous area first. Maintain a consistent distance from the surface.
  6. Stop Operation: Release the trigger on the washing gun. The motor will stop or go into standby mode. For prolonged breaks, turn the main power switch to 'OFF'.
  7. Shut Down: After use, turn off the main power switch. Turn off the water supply. Squeeze the trigger on the washing gun to release any remaining pressure in the system. Disconnect the water supply and power cable.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your pressure washer.

  • Clean Nozzles: Periodically check nozzles for blockages. Use a small pin or the provided nozzle cleaning tool to clear any debris.
  • Inspect Hoses and Connections: Before each use, inspect the high-pressure hose, water supply hose, and all connections for signs of wear, damage, or leaks. Replace damaged parts immediately.
  • Clean Inlet Filter: The water inlet filter prevents debris from entering the pump. Remove and clean it regularly, especially if water flow is reduced.
  • Winter Storage: If storing the unit in an area where temperatures may drop below freezing, drain all water from the pump, hose, and accessories to prevent damage from freezing. Running an anti-freeze solution through the pump can also be beneficial.
  • General Cleaning: Wipe down the exterior of the unit with a damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
