Important Safeguards

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury to persons, including the following:

• Read all instructions carefully.
• Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
• To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plugs, or the power base in water or other liquid.
• Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
• Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
• Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.
• The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may result in fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.
• Do not use outdoors.
• Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
• Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
• Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to “off,” then remove plug from wall outlet.
• Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
• CAUTION: KETTLE BODY MAY BE EXTREMELY HOT DURING OPERATION. PLEASE BE EXTRA CAREFUL AND USE THE COOL-TOUCH HANDLE TO AVOID BURNS.

Setup

1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the kettle and all accessories from the packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.
2. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, fill the kettle with clean water to the MAX line. Boil the water, then discard it. Repeat this process 2-3 times to remove any manufacturing residues.
3. Placement: Place the power base on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface. Ensure the power cord is not dangling or in contact with hot surfaces.

Operating Instructions

1. Fill the Kettle: Open the lid by pulling the knob upwards. Fill the kettle with the desired amount of water. Do not fill below the MIN (0.75L) mark or above the MAX (1.7L) mark. Close the lid securely.
2. Place on Power Base: Position the kettle firmly onto the power base. Ensure it is properly seated.
3. Start Boiling: Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet. Press the power switch located at the bottom of the handle downwards. The LED indicator light will illuminate, indicating that the kettle is heating.
4. Automatic Shut-Off: The kettle will automatically turn off once the water reaches its boiling point. The LED indicator light will extinguish.
5. Serving: Carefully lift the kettle from the power base by the cool-touch handle and pour the hot water.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning and maintenance will prolong the life of your OVENTE Electric Kettle.

• Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the kettle with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as they may scratch the surface.
• Interior Cleaning (Descaling): Over time, mineral deposits (lime scale) may build up inside the kettle, especially in hard water areas. To descale:
  1. Fill the kettle with 1 cup of white vinegar and 2 cups of water.
  2. Bring to a boil and let it stand for 30 minutes.
  3. Discard the solution and rinse the kettle thoroughly with fresh water.
  4. For stubborn deposits, repeat the process or use a commercial descaling solution following its instructions.
• Removable Filter: The filter can be easily detached for thorough cleaning. Rinse it under running water to remove any trapped particles. Reinsert it securely after cleaning.
• Storage: When not in use, ensure the kettle is clean and dry. Store it in a cool, dry place, preferably in its original packaging.
