3.2 Transducer Connection and Deployment

The wired transducer is essential for sonar readings. Connect the transducer cable to the fish finder unit. The transducer can be deployed in several ways:

  • Casting: Attach the transducer to the end of the 25ft cable. Adjust the float stop to position the transducer approximately 6 inches below the water surface. Cast the transducer into the desired fishing area.
  • Boat/Kayak Mounting: Use the provided side scan adapter, stainless bolt, and wing nut to mount the transducer to the side of your boat or kayak. Ensure the transducer is submerged and facing downwards.
  • Ice Fishing: Place the transducer directly into a hole drilled in the ice, ensuring it is fully submerged.
